@dea41396returns btw, if they decided to resurface the viaduct despite its good condition, that's just a silly waste. you are so right when you say that the money needs to be put elsewhere, and this is coming from someone who is not from MD! in fact, all of the MD vids were recorded in a two day period while i was staying in DE for the week, so these vids were my first time on these roads for the most part. just by this single period, i can tell there's a lot of work that needs to be done still.
@roadwaywiz Well it's not the viaduct they overlayed, it's the concrete approaches to the viaduct (from the Joh Avenue Overpass to the Planned I-70 interchange, and then from the end of that viaduct to the beginning of the viaduct from the B-W Pkwy to the Ft. McHenry Tunnel). In the video, the parts that were overlayed are from 1:23-1:46 and from 2:08-2:26.
@dea41396returns definitely agree that we need a new bay bridge - preferably connecting baltimore to the peninsula (perhaps with the baltimore approach using the existing route 702?), but the real question is whether or not politicians would support it. it makes no sense to add a third bridge at the annapolis location b/c it does nothing to satisfy needs of baltimore area travellers (by alleviating congestion on I-97 & US 50). i'm hopeful for a new bridge, just not THAT hopeful yet...
This section of roadway which was completely rebuilt in 2003 including brand new concrete was overlayed a few weeks ago... Maryland needs to put that money elsewhere like building a new Bay Bridge instead of overlaying a 8-year old concrete deck that was functioning fine and nowhere near the end of its life...

The tunnels now have LED lighting and the toll is now cashless
Have you heard all the high mast streetlights from exit 49 to 61 in Baltimore Maryland on I95 are getting removed?
Good, those type of lights are aesthetically hideous. Bring back the traditional cobra head fixtures.
@bsdpowa yup :)
Whoa! 5:44. Illegal lane change.
@roadwaywiz I certainly do!
@weman85 lol i'm guessing you don't appreciate highways and/or driving, do you?
