With all due respect, the Laya is painstakingly slow for a Thumri! Thumri has to be sung with some mischief and with some sensual flirting with the lyrics … both r missing grossly in this rendition.

you are confusing a thumri with a dadra. Thumri is sung in this pace or sometimes even slower. Thumri is meant for slow exposition contrary to what you saying
