Yall did such a good job with her. People who enjoy fostering difficult dogs are some of the best out there.
definitly! but i think its double hard to let them go and i also think its motsly not as great for the dog to have to change again.
@@mushu-the-cat If you foster you can't keep every dog. You need to let them go to forever homes to make room for the next dog in need
@@annkelly6643 i know! that’s another reason why i couldn’t foster. i’d just grow too attached and couldn’t let them go.
maybe that’s why i love foster fail stories 😅
@@mushu-the-cat I know it would be wonderful to keep them all.
My neighbor used to foster animals. Everyone treated him like a saint. Come to find out he was molesting some of the neighborhood kids.
My point in saying that is, people are people. People can do some extreme acts of kindness. And that same person, can be a MONSTER!
People who foster dogs are genuinely heroes, not only because they help these dogs but because they have the strength to let the dog go so they can help even more,❤️
it must be heart wrenching seeing her leave. being strong so others can thrive is true love.
If fostering was easy then people shouldn't be doing it.. your heart breaks twice when you Foster animals the day they come to you and you find out their backstory and the day they find their forever home..
But your remind yourself your heart breaks are nothing compared to what their heart breaks are..
You got that right cuz it would be almost impossible for my family to do that, we would end up with 300+ dogs ,🤪
She looked so shut-down and sad like her owner died.Bella is adorable!💜
You never know. That could actually be what happened before she went to a shelter. Sometimes when someone has a dog and dies, extended family is not always able to adopt them for the dog's remaining years.
You performed a miracle , you brought Bella back to life. Thank you for giving her a life.
My sweet Cassie sat in a shelter for over 2 years. She was discovered in a field with obvious signs of abuse. She was a big girl but super sweet. I believe she was waiting for us. Cassie did not know how to play. Once she figured it out she never tore them up. We lost her 4 years ago. My heart is still broken. I have such a respect for foster families. It must be very hard letting her go. U did such an amazing job.
Added 10/4/21: One of the reasons I wanted to share another story of a long-term shelter dog is to show people there is nothing wrong with animals that have been in the shelters for a long stretch. I had never rescued a dog when we fell in love with Cassie's pic online. I only found out later she had been in the shelter for 2 years. Full disclosure, if I had known this b4 falling for my big lump of a dog I may have selected another dog because I would equate long time in shelter = something wrong. This could not be further from the truth. With love and training we had an amazing, loving, loyal companion for 7 beautiful years. So please consider adopting the dog or cat that has been there the longest. I shudder to think because of my preconceived notions we would have missed out on all the laughs and love she gave us.
Thank you for loving your Cassie. 💖🌈🐈💐💖
God bless you for what you did for Cassie. Your parting is only temporary. She has gone ahead to prepare a place for you, returning the happiness in the next life that you gave her in this one. ♥️
@@heatherhollowell8696 thank u for your kind words. I always think of her helping other pets crossing the rainbow bridge and showing them around. She was such a hoot. She had to solve a puzzle every night. If I forgot and went to bed she would let me know I needed to get up and get her puzzle out.
@@christinebuckingham8369 thank u for your kind words. She was very easy to love very difficult to let go.
Lovely story.thank you.
This is another story of love, perseverance, and patience. God bless these people for giving Bella another chance to be comfortable at home.
Anubis or Osiris?
yes it is!
Dogs are truly amazing animals. Their home is their people. Raise a pup with love and they'll be your best friend forever, no matter where life takes you. It's beyond sad to see them abandoned and unwanted. Thank goodness for people like Chris and all of the loving foster parents around the world for giving these creatures another chance at a happy life.
That made me tear up :')

Foster people are brave, I could never let a dog go to adoption after both bonding with them for months.Imagine the sadness but also happiness seeing a lonely dog getting into a social dog and getting adopted
Same
Fosters know it'll hurt but do it anyway. A truly selfless act
I would be a total failure. These babies have been thru much, when they finally trust you it is everything!
Agreed. Once the pet loves me. It's over.
I would keep every one of them.
Some dogs are just so traumatized by the shelter. It’s nice to see her starting to love life
130 days in the shelter ! It’s no wonder that she took time to loosen up , you are wonderful people for helping her to be happy again .Thank you for being so kind.
Hello how are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful day!!
Ah, yes, for labs, water is absolutely calming. Good idea. She needs to lose some more weight, but swimming will help. And YES, she really is BEAUTIFUL.
My experience was a tad different... Lol I had a rescue lab/dalmatian mix who absolutely *hated* water. She acted like water was acid lava from the deepest pits of hell fire. It was like pulling teeth to get her outside when it was raining, it could be pouring and she would walk *around* puddles. We won't talk about bath time. Lol God I love that beautiful wackadoodle. But I definitely agree she will feel much better losing a little weight and she looks like an older dog so I'm quite impressed she opened up as quick as she did.
M
@@ashh4929 Mine too.
She won't even stay in the same part of the house when I take a shower. She goes all the way out near the kitchen until the water stops running. And she's normally the type who wants to be wherever I am.
I’m not sure she’ll lose weight with her new parents.
@@MrVvulf lol That's how my girl was, my little shadow. The only time she broke that is if it was thundering or there were fireworks, then me being in shower was the lesser of 2 evils. But I was really surprised because of all the research I did on her breeds and my fool self is getting her a little pool and a sprinkler because "labs usually love water! Dalmatians are super active, usually don't mind swimming!" *Nope!* 😐 lol Did your baby have a hard time with the loud noises like that too?
I hope she will be very happy
Hey
I literally don't know how these people can foster, fall in love and send them on. Good strong souls.
Exactly what I was thinking. I would grow too attached and keep them all! Too hard
Fosters are special souls. I would fail each and every time. God bless them all.
This is really heart warming here, I guess all she needs was some space because she was in a shelter for 130days. Dogs are amazing and such an adorable. Do you have a pet?
I can’t believe how fully this beautiful Bella butterfly emerged from her chrysalis with her foster parents’ love, care, and attention. Thank you for all you did to get her ready for and situated in her forever home.
Hello how are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful day!!
I hope that her new parents will give her as much attention as you have. You really brought her back from depression and anger.
Dogs are amazing and so are humans who foster.

Love is patient, love is kind. God bless you for hanging in there.
Hello
She's beautiful, wonderful job taking care of her. Chocolate labs have the most loving and sweet expressions 💕
Not only fostering a dog, but having the perseverance, time and ability to rehab them is just at another level. ❤️❤️❤️
You guys are awesome. Thanks for all the love and patience.
I am a foster and was set up with a dog who had bit her previous foster when they were leaving the shelter getting into the car. That foster promptly returned the dog. I was the next foster in line and was told this dog would never be a lap dog. I was scared of her at first but as time went by, I realized she was the most loyalist dog I had ever seen. I could not get her off my lap. Boy were they wrong. 😁
Foster parents have such a life-changing impact on animals and their forever families and friends! Truly inspiring people! Thank you for bringing happiness into the lives of our furry friends!
This is really heart warming right here I guess all that Bella needed was some space cause she was in a shelter for 130 days
That was all the time that Bella needed to stop growling whenever someone came near her that's when she started to come out of her shell and warm up to humans🦴
That's when the foster guy was like alright Bella's ready for a forever home and when she had went back to the shelter Bella actually remembered everyone there
Always God bless everyone who comes across this comment ✝️
Thinking how good it feels to restore trust and destroy uncertainty. Awesome love hoomans.
That is so lovely, you passed all of Bella’s tests with flying colors! You allowed her time and space to trust again. What a sweet senior girl, I wish her all the best in her new life.💕
Thanks for being so kind to the old girl.😁🇺🇸
** WHAT A "BEAUTIFUL" STORY!! WHAT A "PRECIOUS" "HAPPY" GIRL!! **MAY GOD BLESS YOU, BELLA!! AND HE HAS!!
God does not exist.
She's over weight for one so her bones hurt. Notice the calluses on her elbows. Most labs like hiking & water. She's a senior.
I am sure those conditions will improve with the daily walks, good food, activity ( ie moving about freely compared to being shut up for months in a relatively small "cage"). I wasn't thrilled with the hotdog treats, but they worked for the positive end result, a (hopefully) good and forever home. Give it a chance and knock off the negativity please. I observed that sweet couple DOING repeat, DOING something extremely and gratefully positive. Didn't just TALK about it.
@@timewilltell5476
Was not intended to be negative remark, you took it wrong way. I was saying her age does not match weight. I'm sure she will get the best with her new parents. Happy she can say she's home with love & support.
Yeah. You have to be very careful with labs and their weight. Their drive for food can cause spiralling weight gain so quickly
@@browny1490
My shepherd & collies & cat lived to & passed 15 years each, I was always making careful of their weight & bones structure.
I have no fur-babies for over 7+-years now, I tried within a year after, but it hurt my heart to much.
The dog will find me if I keep on looking. They choose you.
My neighbor lab is not even 2 and he has them. He goes on hikes along the River and swims. Very active family. Besides she’s been in a shelter.
Glad that went well. Watched her and worried she had extreme arthritis but it apparently was more being locked with fear.
It takes time to make friends but once the bond is built it is life long
Thank you for changing your heart to accommodate a changing doggos life. We are going through similar with our rescues but our younger lab Jake slept with me last night in bed and stopped shaking in terror at our crackling fireplace. He is beautiful just like all dogs, do not give up on that love. It has power, it will heal!
Ya ur right. Have a Great Life enjoy ur happy life family.
My choco was an abused rescue..she bonded with me first and now she runs around with the kids all the time..best girl ever
Awwww….she is literally stopping to smell the roses. Live a good life Bella. ❤️
Foster and rescuers are angels disguised as human beings.....thank you Chris for being such an angel.
How does a beautiful Chocolate Lab like Bella spend 130 days in a shelter? Thank you for fostering her and find her forever home!
Hello how are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful day!!
We rescued a dog that had been abused. The vet said by a woman. He took to my husband within a couple weeks but it was three months before he would let me pet him. But the reward was so great. You never did really want other people around but he was loving with us and that's all we cared about. He wasn't mean just aloof with others.
good only 5 people without a heart, this is such a lovely video and i would love a dog like her
Bella started playing with the toys = !!!!! chocolate labs are so cerebral, its so touching to see her engage

Hey
These fosters are just amazing people! To deal with the tough parts of one dog after another and then let someone else enjoy the fun and easy parts, is just so unselfish. Angels among us.
Foster parents are the best! Thank you for rescuing and loving this sweet girl!
I really admire people who can foster animals successfully. I would get too emotionally attached and fail every time.
Understanding, patience and love are the most essential tools for a successful and happy foster. Look at the transformation of Bella ..... from a uncertain, shy and timid dog to a trusting, happy and calm dog. Good work !!
On one hand I am glad that my country doesn't have an issue with abandoned dogs/street dogs.
On the other, I would love to be able to foster dogs to help them find joy and love again.
I could never fall in love with a dog and give it up. I understand you’re doing a good thing and I hope they all get good homes.
Shes a beauty. My sweet girl ( a beagle), is named Bella also
Hi how are you doing
It’s so amazing to me
Hope you’re having a nice day dear.
It is so evident to me how dogs express how they've been hurt and how they open up and trust again with the right person who is patient and kind. Humans should pay attention to this!

Hi how are you, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Dodo has given me a newly-found respect for foster animal parents, willing to give up their babies they worked on so long and hard to forever homes.
If there's a heaven, you guys and dolls should sit at the head table.
Shelters can be a really stressful environment for dogs, even with a staff full of wonderfully caring people. Bless these people for giving her time and earning her trust!
So much respect to this foster Dad. I know I couldn't do it once any bond was formed, I would fail hard and keep a puppy. It's a huge kindness. I'm hoping to fail at this really soon. Best wishes Bella and Chris.
Such a sweet girl. We lost our sweet boy two years ago and miss him so much. He was my angel and he always will be.
Lovely dog, you guys done such a good job 😀
We are sitting a dog we fostered over a yr ago right now. Her new owners call us “the grandparents”. They say we spoil her when she is here. But they never worry that she is cared for.
Thanks for helping her. Thanks to the people who adopted her. God bless.

It just takes some patience with most shelter dogs, thank you so much for your kindness, best wishes!
That poor beautiful dog with her lovely eyes is in extreme discomfort... i.e. severely overweight from her 130 day shelter confinement but now looks finally so happy to be with her lovely new ownerd. xox The patience shown by the carers initially though set up the ground work of healing to make this possible. They are the world's heroes. FINE people WHO give their free time and love. Xox
Can always count on having a smile on your face (ok, maybe mixed with a tear of joy) when you’re done with a Dodo video. ☺️👍
God Bless all fosters I know I couldn’t do it they would all be fails I couldn’t part with any of them
It's unbelievable how forgiving dogs are. If they know that you are a good person they open up and if that deep bond is there they will love you until their last breath...🐾💝🐾💝🐾💝🐾
I have the biggest respect to all fosters cause it's hard work... I couldn't do that cause I would have completly foster fails 🐾🤗🐾🤗🐾

I have a minor growler too. Mine endured horrible abuse. I am super patient with her. I have to say I often think of what my poor pup went through. It is heartbreaking the abuse sick people dish out. Seeing abused dogs adjust and become happy is the best feeling in the world.
I really feel for these so-called “difficult” pets. Their not difficult, they have been hurt and disappointed by humans. It takes very special humans to gain back the trust of these special animals. I cannot imagine how hard it is to learn to trust humans again. We as humans struggle to trust and forgive each other, and we have the gift of language to communicate our feelings and intentions with one another. These animals don’t have that. Sure, they have other abilities and senses that help them discern good from bad, emotions, etc.. But it’s much harder for them to understand that it is okay to trust again, that takes time, empathy, and compassion from humans. Especially when we don’t know how they were hurt and what they need to heal emotionally. I watch these videos and I’m always in awe of the difference these people make in these special animal’s lives. It’s truly beautiful.💜💜💜
Pass the torch and pass the treats! Wonderful adoptive family.
That was challenging, because Bella had weight issues and needed to walk for exercise. But these great fosters didn't give up, and when Bella started to play, that was an important milestone!

Thank-you! How rewarding to earn her trust. She is no longer shut down but open to her new life. 130 days is so hard to endure for any animal.
Hello how are you doing? Hope you’re having a wonderful day!!
I'm not a foster but I do work with animals everyday.
And you are totally correct in saying that these precious souls just need Time, Patience, and Love to blossom.
From Strays brought into the clinic, to owner abandonment, to shelter surrenders who then become lucky enough to be rescued and brought to us for whatever treatments they need before they are ready for adoption.
There is no greater feeling in this world than seeing the light return to their soulful eyes.
Then you know you have reached them , they trust again, they love and finally they are happy again.
After that the process begins of the rescue finding them their forever home.
Saying goodbye is so difficult but they are going to their own family of love and we smile for them thru our tears....
So many good and loving people on this world. Thank you for caring for this doggo. Love, light and blessings 💙💜💖💜💙
