      Highly reccomend! Just state in the notes of your order that you want your knife inspected for centering, weird grinds, function, and tip otherwise it's a coinflip for Fox to send you a defected one. Other than that, carrying this thing just feels right. Your mileage may vary. Thanks for tuning in bud! 🍻

    Because I've been a student of Modern Arnis this made total sense to me when I saw it, especially the reverse grip. As far as someone with a longer reach, this is a closer quarters tool. Get close and jam up the bigger guys. Use your center of power (core) to wield the tool. I think it's a matter of fighting style.

    • @5MinuteKnives
      @5MinuteKnives  2 года назад +2

      Yeah, I could see reverse grip being good for almost a "dirty boxing" style, but I'm usually in open spaces, so I pick reach and freedom to let go of the thing if I wanted to. I hold a karambit like a farmer in a field. lol

I have previously had some unarmed combat training from my army days as well as Hapkido and Karate training. However my big hope is that the bad guy reconsiders before it comes to bloodshed if he doesn't fall for my throw away wallet.

      As a former soldier, martial artist and hunter (qualified Jäger) I have fortunately only ever had to put a blade into an animal (which is bad enough as it means somebody messed up the shot). Still, it remains a very unpleasant thing to need to do. Luckily my military service was between the last wars involving the UK and USA.

      No problemo. I can say, with the drug epidemic and transient problem being what it is in my area, I (unfortunately) get into hairy situations every week. It's a battle out there for order and the cops are so overloaded, we security guys are mostly on our own when we encounter something. The "paul Blart" days are over. You need to be a stud in order to be in armed security these days, so I'm paying my guys much more than the industry standard to attract the best. Thanks for the comments and you stay safe out there!

    • @5MinuteKnives
      @5MinuteKnives  2 года назад +2

      It's something you just kind of look at. If the blade cheats too far to one side or the other, it drives me up a wall and can have a huge impact on the action (which is really important for a self-defense folding knife) And yeah, I harp on it all the time. Fit and finish matter to me a lot. The emerson wave is patented I believe, but this wave works in the same way. Thanks for stopping by!
