And that every song is by Ween lol
Fuck going out. I'm staying in to watch an old school Ween concert.
Reva FoSho load up the bong, order some Chinese food, and fuckin' get brown!
Relevant now during covid
R.I.P. to Peter who filmed this.
Thank you Peter! Your life had meaning. Future generations will name their children after you for this video, Peter.
+1
My brother...miss him...
Steve Stretch
Who was he?
Champion effort for holding the cam for 1.5 hrs like that. Magnificent footage. RIP Pete
that place was so hard to find with no GPS
and someone gave me some nice buds in the parking lot thanks whoever you were
Were they in a crappy sandwich baggie with no ziplock
the only time a stranger gave me weed was a ween show
@@bearpicklethats crazy cuz the only time a stranger gave me ween was at a weed show
@@rustyshackleford7656 sounds like you're at a weed show right now
Ween ticks all the boxes of all the legendary rock bands. They will be remembered in musical history as the unique rock geniuses they are. They are relentless in the pursuit of their art and never pander. Regardless if they are playing for 15 people at the Wetlands or Ten thousand at the Bizarro festival. They own every room they play. Now that Gener has dealt with his demons they are a lucid force destined to go down in history as legends. There is, and never will be anything like Ween.
the only time Ween pandered was during a bizarre rendition of Mr Richard Smoker in '97
One thing that keeps me coming back to this video. The audio is just shockingly good
Sadly, I've attended live shows at professional venues that sounded worse than this recording. It really does sound very good.
@@rars0n -yeah it sounds great, especially considering how long ago it was.
@@SR91313 The past had good audio. Even the horrifyingly distant past of the mid 90s, before electricity was invented.
cutest, most adorable band ever.
One thing that makes deaner one of my favorite guitarists is the way he bends the guitar to match his personality. There's certain guitarists that really personalized their playing styles. I think Frank Zappa and Devin Townsend are two other good examples of this.
Agreed. Devin Townsend is a god damn legendary songwriter.
Back in the day when only one dude was filming and everyone else was into the show. No cellphone video ever sounds this good either. Thanks.
Or maybe it's just the wet dream of a venue. Ween touring Pod, Guava and cheese in a skating rink in 1995.
wow the warrington skating rink! had my first kiss there 25 years ago with a girl with a new kids on the block sweatshirt. there was a guy there with a chain that connected his nosering to his earring like the guy from skid row. best night of my life.
I took acid for the first time there. Good times.
Adam Herndon Dude, great tales. Reminds me of some of my beloved little music holes / hangout zones in my town. Is this place still around? I'd love to contact them and setup a show for my band.
nobody is interested in your band
You should've grabbed it and ripped it out!! Like in that one movie. Dam can't remember.
My band Spare tire opened for them at this show ...this was a benefit to raise money for the Film "the last broadcast" if i remember correctly....wow we were so young back then ...20 years ago
That's crazy! I just watched that movie!

This is my favorite ween set ever
lol why is it so uncomfortable seeing deaner with short hair like this?
First off: I rarely comment...ever, but I can't contain how much I love this video. They are ridiculously talented and the raw footage captures the joy of seeing them live.
agreed!
I agree!!!! Wish I could go back in time and go to a show in this era of Ween again. Best times of my life. I've seen them many times but that was the first year for me(95). Ween will live on forever in the fans hearts.
Marc Ohannesian best days of my life
to be fair they still tour and you can go see them, they havent really changed much
the band was broken up at the time the comments were made ^^
That "wish you were here" opener is excellent
Gener's charisma is off the charts here, seems like they were all on top of the world that night
I watch this video from time to time. Pete was my brother. Different dads thus different last names but grew up together...miss him. Uber talented. Always recorded. Had a cable access show in New York called tv Kill. If you can't find it let me know I'll digitize vhs tapes and put them up. Tons of punk and post punk shows.
Steve Stretch do it man! Got to be some gold in there
Oh hellyeah
Hadn’t watched this vid in a while, bummed to hear about Peter, your brother is a legend. Maybe it’s just me but for me, I know I would love to fill some of this free time we all have now watching tapes of his public access show. +1 vote
Yeah mang put them up
First impression: Claude is a beast
Much thanks to whoever recorded and uploaded this. You've made a Ween die-hard very happy.
Some amazing versions of classics here - Tear for Eddie is immense. Dr. Rock rocks like a motherfucker.
One of the greatest, and most criminally underrated, bands of all time in their prime. Good stuff!
i concur
a tear for eddie....wow..just wow...
If only I had a time machine...
What a great show. It's rare to find old footage like this with such good sound quality. Thanks to whoever posted it.
charles noyes you are so right man! Excellent sound quality!
Saw the chocolate and cheese tour in Portland OR within 6 months of this recording . My first live show, freshman year of high school. Made out with a boy for the first time and sprained my ankle dancing. Epic af, thanks guys
lol What happened? did Deaner's mom make him get a haircut
What a treasure this recording is. A total preservation of what would have otherwise been a lost show. Thank you for the upload!
WOW! Just stumbled across this today. I was at this show! When I think back to it I sometimes think it was just a dream, seeing Ween rock a skating rink. But it's true! (I think I may even hear myself yelling "Yeah").
I semi remember people were actually skating a the back side of the rink but not sure if my mind is just making things up. But so glad get relive the experience and the sound on this video is great. Band sounded good.
This video is a treasure. Early primal ween, great sounds. Crowd is really dope too. Wouldve been quite the experience for shure
A quarter century ago! Ween is forever because the wandering eye never rests. Ever
I remember this like it was yesterday. We drove around in a pickup truck with Mannequins from Siren Records, promoting this all over the area. Good times. Great concert. Sounded way better live and amazing fun energy in the room... somebody at the mixing board, turned up the mixer output to the video camera and screwed up the sound halfway through... such a shame.
just noticed the guy in the crowd who just keeps saying "we're ween!"
Sooo young and still together, The glory days ... Mmmmmmmmmm
Unfortunately, not together anymore.
+John Travolta AND NOW THEY ARE AGAIN
John Travolta yes, thats why they were in The Glory Days.
I only saw them once. At Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill August 1997. My best friend told me, you've got to go see this band. I was hovering over the floor about 3 feet the entire show, mind blown by their talent.
'Don't Get 2 Close' is the only song I want played at my funeral.
OldSamVimes stare into the lions eyes and if you taste the candy, you get to the surprise.
didn't they have air conditioning back in 1995?
I love ween , awesome band , been around since 1984 in new hope p.a.
God the audio and video are awesome; i can only imagine this was recorded with some shit 1995 handheld but man its great. Takes me back to good times and no worries....
My first concert was mollusk tour 96 Showplace theatre Buffalo NY..but these were the days for sure...they polished off a liter of jack at the Showplace..were doing lines..lighting things on fire...Ween gone crazy at their best. First tour with Dave i believe...why did andrew bail out?
never mind..i wikapedied it..what a career mr. andrew weiss has had..holy moly..i see why he went on to bigger and better things
I never double comment, but wow for the fast version of MTJT that was the best ever
was it where you wanted to be? gnawing on the tulip that wishes it was you?
Shame this place is no longer. Many a good memory here.
I've come to the verdict that this is my favorite Ween show. Just brown enough!
same
Also rip to the skating ring. I used to go there my neighborhood is right behind the old building. Take me back to the 90ssss
Basically because their set list hasn't changed with the times, it's like your college years are preserved in stone when you see Ween. They are timeless.
????? Their setlists have always changed from show to show.
Is it the shortest I've ever seen Mickey's hair.
Wow this is some crazy great stuff. Whoever recorded this got a truly special moment in time.
Fat Lenny live is my new favorite thing ever
Best version of Buckingham Green
Wow. Thanks for the effort HCS. Penn's Landing yo!
The '90s seemed like kind of a cool time to be a teen/young adult. Unfortunately, I was only 7 when this concert took place, and would not hear of Ween for another 13 years or so.
Tuan Jim growing up in the 90s was awesome! I was 14 when this show played, and discovered the band in 1994.
Awesome, this is a great use of youtube. Thanks.
I was 21!!! that beautiful, iconic summer. I used to go to that rink in the 80s with my church youth group, lol! I also went to the Jamison Roller Skating Rink which I believe was called The Moon in the seventies.
this show is fucking awesome...spinal menrngitis blew me away...this rocks!
Oh shit Mean Ween !!!
Gener's voice sounds really lovely on The Stallion Pt 3. Best version I've heard besides on Guava.
this video is fuckin AWESOME!! love the bit before the HIV song where the guy in the crowd is talking about being underage and nearly getting arrested for smoking a joint, so great. this video is a piece of amazing history, i love it!
This takes me back to a wonderful place
Crazy someone filmed this! Brings me back to high school!
Wow, Buzz Cut Deaner is still gorgeous
I suspect that people who do not find magic, inspiration and genius in this concert do not understand anything to real Rock Music played Live!
This is gold
Clean cut Dean Ween
What a stud !
unreal! that Tear for Eddie was the best song of the set and those ass hats fanned it! "oh but we can't sing along" dicks.
19:16 That is the best version of Fat Lenny I have EVER heard.
awesome, thank you for posting.
this is an important thing
incredible tear for eddie version… smoking
what a gem!
awesome Pony solo Deaner
can you imagine the gift of being a first wave Ween fan?
If I had seen A Tear For Eddie live right there... I would have left a totally different person
It seems like a nice group. I was about 16 when this was recorded.
666
This is amazing! Thank you for posting it
Awesome, thanks for this! I only saw them once a few years ago towards the end, wish I could again.
Kween KJ now you can (:
so much fun to watch
I always thought that these guys were way ahead of there time
Dude..This is Fucking awesome!
Deaner with short hair hits different.
this footage is marvelous
Thank you post-er person.
ya know, the sound q of this, and the vid, and the weenis is very good here
so crazy hearing buckingham green before it was perfected!
No fog of smartphones making short films or 'selfies'
That's because those didn't exist in 1995.
Fred Double You livin loaded love it
master class on how to melt faces
Oh ty for this rare footage ;)
Man this is awesome.
twister hung on the wall behind em, fkin love it
is that Mean Ween on bass?
Nope. Its Andrew Weiss who produced many of their albums.
Twister!! I would love to play Twister right now.
Good to see Gener fuckin up the Stallion 3 solo for almost 30 years now. I can't get it right most of the time for the record, too.
Hell yeah!!!
damnit I was 25 days old when this show happened I would have killed to witness this
this version of spinal meningitis got me down is so fucking sick
edit: I’ve come back to this version like 10 times in the past day, the tone on the genes guitar is so fucking perfect man (,: like a portal
the captain fantasy is what dreams are made of, I’ve been listening to that shit since I was 14 and its incredible. You fucked up right after with the pit opening up has me jaw dropped. This CROWD!!
Damn, trying out Buckingham Green a couple of years before it was released on the Mollusk. Must have been one of the first times here.. No one in the audience seemed to know what it was. Very cool.
actually they have been playing Buckingham Green since at least 1992-93
They should always have a Twister mat behind them.
love it!
Fucking TICK rules!
Ugh... I wish I could have been there! Was only fuckin 2 years old, probably saying "weeeeen" sliding down a slide, unbeknownst to me...
those cars in the intro shot are fucking sick. looks like a 5th gen celica and a nissan silvia
WOW. I was at this show
In Warrington, "We're from New Hope, Pennsylvania." Ha. This is about as close to a hometown crowd as you can get...and this Mk II live lineup is pretty good, don't miss a keyboardist at all and Andrew is a really, really good bassist. He's a bit more within the music than Dave.
