Excellent presentation, great product. Helpful tip acid clean the diamond plate before Polishing. It will drastically reduce your polishing time. Less black oxidation. Try it .
best polish for metals that I've seen is Metal Gloss...they have a couple vids here...and what I remember is its a black guy doing the demonstration @ SEMA or its at a car show and he made a basic key look like it was chrome plated...was amazing...
polishing metal is such a rewarding process! simple too!
That's a good metal polish but use a angle grinder with a buffing wheel way high rpm finish in 1/3 the time I got buffing wheel at Graingers
Nothing better than polishing aluminum in the sun.....
Well I'm convinced we will be purchasing some of this for our ever so slightly oxidized Aluminum Fuel truck that looks like crap, and the wax to go with it. Thanks Guys.
So follow up the links above proved fruitless as they are completely out of stock of all the products as of April 2, 2020. Ironically Amazon had all your products which is where I purchased them. BUT I could not find on your site is the "Vintage Metal Wax" mentioned in the video.
Just got a 16 ouncer from Autogeek today. No mention of “vintage” though. May be an old moniker.
If you would 'go with the pattern' of the diamond plate, its a lot easier and doesn't rip up the pads as fast. Also I found that a non DA buffer works better, at least for me and the diamond plate on my Pete.
Diamond Plate is a bummer to polish regardless though
Looking forward to trying your polish on my work rig this weekend! I’ve polished the diamond playing on other rigs before but with competitors products and using buffing wheels on a drill. Bought a Milwaukee rotary and will be using that with various normal polishing pads (don’t have any microfiber)
Happy detailing!!
This worked great on a camping trailer with a diamond plate front-end protector and the utility box on mounted on the tongue. For the diamond-plate fenders, I probably should have used a buffing wheel or something more abrasive to smooth the pitting caused by rocks and pebbles before moving onto using this.
Good thing the pad is black. Don’t expect the rinse water to ever be clear after washing it. 😜
If there is any advice that I can give, it would be to handle anything more than light oxidation using a different method and then use this as the finishing product. But that is if you want complete restoration. You will see good results from this polish regardless. I will be using it at regular intervals now to prevent rather than repair.
Enjoy your detailing products!
Diamond plate pattern is a criss-cross....the pattern is a 45 degree angle left, then right, then left etc...so, to answer your question, it is.
What I was referring to, is what works best for me. I go with the pattern, thus up and down (lower left up to the upper right) at a 45 degree angle, from one side to the other. The 2nd pass, I start at the lower right, and move up to the upper left.
To finish I'll go straight across left to right, but that seems to tear my pads quick.
How long did it take you to do the whole job to polish the whole front piece how many hours did you have in it and how much did it cost for supplies
Dude just bullshitting his way thru the video lol
Bulshitting? Just extolling the product’s virtues.
Would it bring back the shine to diamond plating that has been sand blasted and has a matte finish, or do I need something stronger than this?
Heavy Metal Polish is a great product for restoring the mirror-like shine of exposed metals.
I like this video a lot
Tell me something, using that machine and trying to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time for a professional wouldn't you burn up a few pads and backing plates?
If you can’t do the crime then don’t do the time.
Amazing result!!
Awesome!!!!!! Happy Birthday JESUS!!!!!!!!k!!!
Doesn't the texture of the diamond plate tear apart the microfiber pad?
I tore two apart polishing my diamond plate.
@@andytaylor2321 you find a better method ? That won’t run my pockets that much with pads ?
Fantastic bro
Happy detailing!
when a distribution of your products to the island of Reunion.
Too bad I can not be your distributor.
I just waiting to promote your brand CHEMICAL GUYS
The pads , can they be wash , if yes , with what ?
I have to polish my red Golf mk2 soon :)
How can you tell your black pad is getting blacker :/
My orbital polisher barely spins when polishing. Should I use a rotary polisher.
Hey! Try using less pressure and ensure the pad is flat.
Is there a point where there can be to much oxidation on the pad and you should quit using it or is it okay to just keep going?
You should clean your microfiber pad with compressed air after every section for maximum performance.
is the pattern diagonal? just wondering.
what if the diamond plate is painted black. ?
I can’t find anything on black diamond plate buffing or polishing
"Sun is what causes oxidation"
BIG MASSIVE HAHAH!
...so wrong.
i was about to say lol stay to car polish lol
.....and what does, friend?
thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
What's difference between this and metal shine?
are you pressing the polishing machine or just grap it??
Hi there! Apply light pressure to produce the necessary friction to restore shine.
Would that work on airstreams
Blaze The Shogun what is your way? How do you make the polish?
if the diamond plate has more oxidation, the microfiber pad works?
We recommend the microfiber pads when the oxidation is truly bad. Our Microfiber Orange Cutting Pad is designed to remove on the heaviest of swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation. We recommend you try lighter and then work your way up if you don't like the result you get. Also, try it in an inconspicuous area first.

Will that work on raw aluminum?
Hey Jason, absolutely use the same process to enhance shine.
Chemical Guys Ha good luck with that
Nice job
Would v36 work on a heavily oxidized boat?
This product works flawlessly just FYI... p.s. Home depot FTW lol
You ship products to Reunion Island?
is it best for chrome too
Hi Angad, yes you can use the heavy metal polish is safe for use on stainless steel, aluminum, copper, gold, silver, bronze, brass, and more. The polish works great for chrome bumpers, stainless steel exhaust tips, aluminum trim, diamond plate, polished wheels, and more. You'll be able to restore a brilliant reflection and shine to metallic coatings like chrome.
is it good for paonted part if not which one i should use for painted part of bike???
How long does the pad usually last until you should replace it?
Hi Jordan, that's a great question. Microfiber pads are good until their cutting ability is compromised or when they start shedding. Thanks for watching, Jordan, and thanks for being a part of the Chemical Guys family!
Chemical Guys Ok, thanks! My department is having a housing and I’m just trying to find easier ways to clean the diamond plate.
Using a machine is definitely the way to go then if you have large surface areas to cover! Stay tuned for a new video releasing later today, Jordan!
Chemical Guys yeah I have that exact machine. Excited to try the metal polish.
Need some spray on metal prep and reduce to one pass.
I have diamond plate in my animal control van covering my floor and it's very tarnished and dingy, I need to make it stand out.?????
rayfl502 aluminum bright @NAPA
Nicely
Happy detailing!!
Restore my heavily oxidized diamond plate aluminum boxes on my 99' w900. I can't do it, I can't even sand them because the diamonds don't make it simple. :/
hey nice
i need a video for polish for polishing motorcycle exhaust and manifolds pls^^
what kind of polisher is that!................lol
portcable 7424 xp
Bunk that would take forever and that trailer isn't more than ten years old
magic

You guys should've covered that Home Depot a little better...lol..
Take a shot every time he says "oxidation"
Chemicalization lol.
hah you can shave , looks like mirror
and why don't you wear gloves that stuff can't be good for you?
Does it remove light scratches on chrome aluminum rims?
Hey! Yes, that is correct. Thanks for watching and happy detailing!
