  • At a symposium at the LBJ Library, historians and former First Lady staff reviewed select First Ladies in history, as well as contemporary figures, and their activism, how the position has evolved, and the traditional role of First Lady as guardian of the First Family and public image. The discussion included anecdotal and interpretative perspectives on how a First Lady's background shaped her personality and work.
Introduction: Alan Lowe, Director, George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum

How come no one says anything about Betty Ford . what I read and look into Btty Ford life was very must into her husband life . also had a lots of support from Jerry Ford. A lot to support from breast cancer to young women and young girls. You all forget that A lot of didn't like Hillary Clinton. That's one reason she lost the election. A lot of people dislike Hillary Clinton. I don't think she ever thought of that. I like all Fist Lady going back the 1940's. Hillary Clinton might done A lot of thinks in government, but A lot of people just didn't like her. The rolls Hillary Clinton got to be elected was people felt sorry for her after Bill Clinton afair with a young in team. Hillary Clinton wanted to get up the latter in government. I think a lot of people knew about Bill Clinton afairs,I believe Hillary Clinton also knew about the fairs but look the other way. She care about her daughter that why they stayed together. They cry about how they had no money, all the lawyers they had to pay. If Bill Clinton keep his sipper closes , the Clintons won't have to go through what they did. I have spoke to a lot of people and they think the same . a lot of people just didn't like her. I don't think theis a person in the world that doesn't know Eleanor Roosevelt , Nancy Reagan, Rosyn Carter. Betty Ford ,Barbara Bush. Laura Bush an Michelle Obama.
If I miss someone else forgive me. I hope someday to go to Texas to visit the Bush and Johnson libraries. I do have a friend who live in Texas. Wish me luck.Ronnie.
