Hey guys!! Since posting this vid the promo code changed to a link, so to get the $100 off just book through this link :) Also in the description of this video :)) www.efultimatebreak.com/?ba=UAJessH100
Going on my 5th EF trip next month to Oktoberfest! 10/10 would recommend EF to anyone in the age range. Booking on Black Friday or similar holiday sales is what I do to save some money. Great tips in this video!
Ohhhh, that makes a ton of sense! And is actually really smart because I think they booked us through American Airlines and I only have Delta points haha
Most definitely mileage points helps! Regardless of that, you may be able to save on flights you book yourself because it also makes sense for a business travel agency to profit out of collaborating with all their partners. Package deals are convenient for the consumer, it cuts out all the work but in return the business benefits from the earnings. Good thing I have mileage points on many major airlines, as well as a good credit card, and basic research skills which will point me to the more economic deals :)
You’re doing this through EF Ultimate? Been thinking of doing the same, but I’m having second thoughts just because Japan is so easily accessible and it’s one of the points in this video.
November is a great time to visit Japan..weather is amazing and tourist season isn't in full throttle. I visited Japan in November of 2016 and loved it, I miss that beautiful country
Hey Ive been saving for an EF tour and I’ve never been on a plane on my own and I’m a bit nervous. I’m planning on booking the Ultimate Europe Tour for a month how much do you think I should save for spending money? Any info you can share with me and do you think it’s worth it? ❤
hey hannah!! for the flight part of it, i don’t think you need to worry because they usually have people meet up in cities in the US before doing the long flights/have you leave from the same airports! there’s a group chat created before you go so that you can text and meet up, so especially if you live in a bigger city chances are you’ll have another EF person on your flights :) i hadn’t flown alone until recently, and it was a little spooky the first time tbh, but just arrive early, check in, and get excited because international flights are fun!!! you get dinner and drinks and snacks heehee
and then for the spending money part, it def depends on the trip - for egypt, every meal was included in our initial cost, but for europe trips you’ll have more free time! i just went on the budapest, vienna and prague trip, and i spent about $600 in the 10 day trip… seemed like a lot to me, but about $100 of it went to optional excursions that i chose to do, and the rest to meals, transportation and drinks! so it depends on your spending habits, but since there will probably be less meals included in the europe trips, definitely budget extra money outside of the ticket price!!!
and it is worth it if you don’t want to solo travel :) you make friends super quickly, all the transportation is planned for you, and it’s just a blast! i will say that the trips most worth it to me are ones where i wouldn’t know how to travel without a group (ex. egypt) but my europe one was still a great group experience!
@@jessshorst oh my Gosh thank you so much Jess. I really appreciate you replying quick to my message. Thanks this helps a lot I was just so concerned about having to fly alone and was nervous wondering how much I should save up for the 35 day trip in Europe 🙏. Although, this has been a dream of mine for years.
How did the covid testing work? I think I saw that EF requires a negative covid test within 72 hours of departure? Can you use one of those at home tests?Or it has to be PCR from a lab? What happens if you test positive? :O
You can do a rapid test! I just then took a photo of it and kept that with my on my phone. And you NEED to pay the extra $100ish when signing up for travel protection!!!! Because then I think if you test positive or need to change dates or trips, they can just transfer the money you’ve already paid to another trip - Literal lifesaver! But it’d be really sad to not be able to go if you got sick :((
This may be a dumb question lol but thinking of doing the Europe back packer trip… can I still bring a suitcase? Lol it’s a month long trip and I need more than a back pack
i think that’d be fine! they definitely have a bus between locations so i think it shouldn’t be a problem - but once you sign up you’ll get a whole “know before you go” section with packing tips, so it’ll explain it all there and give you advice for packing :)
Hi! I traveled with a friend during my Egypt trip, but plan on doing another trip soon solo! About half the people on my trip booked it without knowing anyone, and made fast friends because everyone was looking for friends for the week :) They probably even made closer connections than I did since they were pushed out of their shell more, which is why I want to try doing one alone in the future!
What Jess said! I traveled solo and you'll be surprised (ok, not so surprised haha) as to how many other people are in your same position. It's the best way to make friends. Don't underestimate the number of solo travelers seeking friendships. In fact, I think everyone should do at least one solo trip in their life, it is liberating and you learn a lot.
Hey I was wondering so how did it work like if y’all wanted to go out was it like a group decision and also did y’all bond or was there like social little groups
In Egypt (my last trip) there wasn’t a huge going out aspect (though I think there will be on my next trip which should be fun!) but we had a group chat for the whole trip and people would post if they were going to the pool at one of our hotels, or walking into town or heading to a museum, so it seemed SUPER inclusive and everyone wanted to make friends so I think/hope that all trips are like that! Our trip was definitely not cliquey, and I loved that about it :)
In my trip there was this 34 year old man, he was the oldest one, and he would constantly try to like get with the girls in the group, literally any of them, and they were all mostly 18-20 and my tour guide would let it happen even though some girls felt uncomfy cause he would get “drunk” and fall asleep in the girls room and shit like that, the tour guide would think it was funny. And she was like 45. Why would u allow that u know
a few people on my trip had their own rooms, but i think they paid a bit extra for that! i shared with a friend that came with me, but the people who were paired randomly became really good friends!
Haha lots of rice and different meats, bread and beans. But we always had tons of variety at the restaurants and hotels we were at, like full buffets, so there was something for everyone!
I did!! I think it’s worth it because you may need to change the date of your trip, and I wouldn’t want to be locked in/lose more money if I didn’t have it!
hey, good question! if you are on the EF website and looking at a trip, scroll down to the dates section where the prices are listed and select one of the dates. then it’ll have a drop down menu at the top where you’ll select the city you’re departing from, but instead select “no flights included” at the top of the drop down - this will show you the base price without flights! i’ve been playing around with it and the price can change $800-2000 depending on how far the flight is!
Once again, such a good question! I know that at least one checked bag and one carry on are included! I don't think that you'll ever need more than one checked bag, so it's great that one is free :)
hey! i had one friend that i knew sign up with me, but there were so many people that went alone (probably half?) and they made friends so quickly that i’m signed up for another trip in april without knowing anyone!! should be fun!
Hi there! Great video! Do you have any recommendations for traveling groups that take people over 35? My boyfriend is creeping up on 35 years old, I’m hoping to find a fast paced tour group that can accommodate his age range
Hi! So weird, I’m emailing them to see what’s up!! But the holiday weekend just started so I hope I hear back before the deal ends :( Sorry about that!!

that trip looks SO FUN! i gotta do it one year haha
Definitely booked on Black Friday and got hundreds off w. $5 down
THAT’S AWESOME!!!!!
Im thinking about going on my 2nd EF trip to Australia in November 2023! Im waiting for the Black Friday sale lol
FUN!!! Hahah definitely wait for the sale, an extra $500 off is the BEST
So this isnt a scam? Lol it feels too good to be true. Im thinking of going on my first trip with my friend andim nervous
Good tips, thank you so much! I've been considering EF..it seems like there's mixed reviews (inherent), but overly positive.
thanks for making this!! I’m thinking about booking a EF ultimate trip, this was super helpful!
you’re so welcome!!
I’m so glad to see you back Jess!💗
I could be wrong but I know some people book flights on there own because they had mileage points which might've made flights cheaper than EF

Are your hotels paid for in the trip or is that separate like pay each night as your there?
Hotels are included in the price that you pay for the trip!!
Hey I was wondering so how did it work like if y’all wanted to go out was it like a group decision and also did y’all bond or was there like social little groups

Did you go solo?
do all the trips go on sale or just some in july and nov?
It is the majority of them!! But the % of the sale definitely varies, like some are like 15% off that I see while some are closer o 50%!
35 and 18 is such a huge gap
honestly most people that were on the trip were 26-28! i felt like an outlier at 22 😅
Was there anyone in their 30s?
In my trip there was this 34 year old man, he was the oldest one, and he would constantly try to like get with the girls in the group, literally any of them, and they were all mostly 18-20 and my tour guide would let it happen even though some girls felt uncomfy cause he would get “drunk” and fall asleep in the girls room and shit like that, the tour guide would think it was funny. do you have your own hotel room or do you share with randoms ?
a few people on my trip had their own rooms, but i think they paid a bit extra for that! i shared with a friend that came with me, but the people who were paired randomly became really good friends!
Did you do the Nile Cruise or Expedition?
nile river cruise!!
@@jessshorst seems like the Nile River cruise is better than the expedition one based off of videos. Glad you enjoyed your trip.
Egypt was the trip I’ve been looking forward to going to. But I wanted to know what the food was like? 😂
Shawarma 😁😁😁
LITERALLY
Haha lots of rice and different meats, bread and beans. But we always had tons of variety at the restaurants and hotels we were at, like full buffets, so there was something for everyone!
Did you pay for the travel protection?
I did!! I think it’s worth it because you may need to change the date of your trip, and I wouldn’t want to be locked in/lose more money if I didn’t have it!
I wanted to ask where you include your code because I don’t really see where I’m supposed put it.
Hey! If you haven’t done it already it’s when you’re purchasing a trip/checking out and putting in your payment info!
I JUST LEARNED IT’S LINK ONLY NOW! www.efultimatebreak.com/?ba=UAJESSH100
How do we price the trip without the flights
hey, good question! if you are on the EF website and looking at a trip, scroll down to the dates section where the prices are listed and select one of the dates. then it’ll have a drop down menu at the top where you’ll select the city you’re departing from, but instead select “no flights included” at the top of the drop down - this will show you the base price without flights! i’ve been playing around with it and the price can change $800-2000 depending on how far the flight is!
Thank you for this tip! I didn’t think this was possible lol
@@jessshorst Also, how much luggage allowance do we get on EF flights
Once again, such a good question! I know that at least one checked bag and one carry on are included! I don't think that you'll ever need more than one checked bag, so it's great that one is free :)
EF books lousy rooms and cheaper meals and they are not that helpful with respect to flight cancellations and other standard issues that pop up
Did you go alone ?
hey! i had one friend that i knew sign up with me, but there were so many people that went alone (probably half?) and they made friends so quickly that i’m signed up for another trip in april without knowing anyone!! should be fun!
