- Turns out it's pretty damn easy to get triple elevated mod on just about any item. Easy doesn't mean cheap though! Maven's Orbs are big money and this is basically the most ENDGAME crafting possible currently.
That being said, this video will teach you exactly how it's done so you can go and make your most endgame items without any real RNG or putting your precious mods in danger!

TLDW:
- Maven orb single influence items until you get two separate elevated mods you want , either 2 prefix or 2 suffixes
- Awakener orb them
- Protect them with prefixes/suffixes cannot be changed
- Use harvest crafting to add two new influenced mods, the third you want elevated and a fourth you dont care about
- Maven orb 50/50 gamble. If you fail, restart the previous step. If you win, your item is done

Lets suppose i need to elevate Tailwind first... if i get Tailwind (Suffix) and something like Gem Level Chaos (preffix) I can craft SUFFIX CANNOT BE CHANGED and Maven orb the boots and its guaranteed to elevated tailwind? Repeat the process in the second boots and its done? Suppose i dont want a third elevated tho

I for one, am still new to the whole game (been playing since metamorph) and i have a LOT to learn still. having you do these vids, really helps me out and I also think with the harvest crafting situation now, it'll be a bit easier for me to craft. What really really helps me learn is the new Craft of Exile Emulator, that thing is genius and when ever i have time at work at the hospital, i try to learn as much as i can on it. much love to ya brother!
Soooo glad that you started using the crafting emulator. Not seeing the actual crafts was the most annoying part about your videos but now I can fully understand the topic. Don't get me wrong I loved your tutorials before but now they are just way better :)

It's really just gambling and hoping you don't have to sink in more money in your item. It's why there's a balance between people who just buy their gear and people who know how to play the odds and even them out.

@@pathofmatth Having tried to craft even a basic, 250phys dps elder axe, I have found the time nor the currency to not be worth the effort, I had spend a lot of time trying to buy things in bulk to use + the cost of them going up because they are in bulk, simply running Heists for 5 hours made me enough money to buy a 2ex, 250 phys dps axe with elder bleed mod + The Anticipation and use a blessing I already had on it to get The Surrender.
+ I leveled up 3 rogues to level 5 and crafted some nice starter gear for them, as it was just then that I focused on Heists.
I'm one of many people who'd rather run 200 areas in a day than spend that time crafting a single item.
@@dicemm5544 Thats because items you are trying to craft are using gambling methods. If you wanna make steady profit you gotta set either your goals as low as possible while still making profit. Or choose deterministic crafting methods,methods where you basically cant wrong

The only issue I have with POE - for a game that claims it nurtures player interaction, you really need to spend a hell of a lot of time away from it, on a discord or wherever, in order to have a chance of doing this type of a powerful craft in a reasonable amount of time. That or be a very lucky individual indeed.
I really wish they enable in-game trading mechanics for all things treatable.
Also why there is no a "Allow party members to use my altar/desk/whatever" thickbox is mind-boggling.
That takes nothing away from this tutorial, detailed and clear as ever.

How do you get all these Harvest crafts? You make it sound like its really easy (i.e. can buy the harvest crafts?). I've been looking for an "add cold" harvest craft since day 1.... and can't seem to find it on trade.
Hey Matthew, really enjoying your videos and I just had a thought while I was watching this one. When I was learning a bit about how to program with Java there were some exercises that I did that started off easy and got progressively more difficult. If you are interested in pursuing this avenue of content (crafting tutorials/mentoring) I wanted to suggest maybe making a series that essentially quizzes viewers on how to craft items now that we have access to much more deterministic crafting options AND we can also use the emulator from coe.com. So my suggestion would be basically showing or discussing a craft that you know can be done in say 10ex or fewer, and seeing if viewers are able to find the best way to achieve as close to that number as possible via cost efficiency. This could be like a crossword puzzle where the solution is available as a spoiler to assist further. While this content is super helpful for everyone, I am not making anywhere near enough currency to ever access something like this, and im sure most of your viewers are likely in the same boat. However, I feel confident that if it were strictly focused on things that are still complex for beginners (such as woke orb mechanics) but more affordable and still educational, it might incentivize people to learn more. I think learning the fundamentals of crafting and learning the most efficient way to stack stats on an item (hardest to most easy as you mentioned in a previous vid), is invaluable information, but when I see content like this I ask myself if this is something that I will ever interface with and the answer is probably not.
As an aside sorry if I come across as uneducated about poe crafting in this comment, I am 100% a crafting noob, but I find what you do and your ability to articulate the steps taken to be absolutely amazing.

For newer or poorer players, don't worry about Maven end-game crafting. It is not a huge difference maker or huge advantage. It's just a little "nice to have". For a quick example, if you can kill a boss in 30 seconds, Maven mods will probably make that like 27 or so seconds only. So it's better to just save your money on other more important things.
Is it possible to get an updated example on this which reflects the harvest nerfs? I see hear him talking alot about remove or remove/add crafts from harvest. But you can't target those anymore nor can you target augment influenced items.

For the chest, once you have prefixes sorted and you've elevated spell crit, I think you can just craft "cannot roll attack mods" before slamming crit to guarantee power charge instead of attack crit. Costs 1 ex. So that's another reason doing prefixes first is better. Especially since crit aug is rare and this allows you to do it with only a single crit aug while using caster/attack for everything else. At least that's how I plan to do it if I ever manage to get everything together on ssf.
Hello i have a question about the first augmented affix
If i want by example to upgrade "enemies you kill explodes" can i have i guaranted or its random luck ? I tried with Craft of Exil to simulate a chestplate with explode and by example adding a random crusader suffix then add "prefix cannot be changed" to see if it prevent the explode from being removed to up the suffix but it havent worked so i tried the opposite "suffix cannot be changed" but the simulation said me i cant use the maven orb so i was wondering if i can do this without counting on luck ?
Nice guide, but what I don't get is the replacing of mods, usually the remove random x add a new x mod is only for non-influenced items, no? (looking at you replacing tiers of mods)
Instead of using remove non influence you can use reforge keeping prefixes or suffixes,those cost like 20-30c each
don't forget the price of scouring to get only 2 suffixes: 2exalts for the bench craft Suffixes cannot be changed.
if you reforge, you're getting new prefixes which will need to be scoured off the item with the above bench craft.
I would highly recommend crusader base for elevated cooldown, since it has more harvest removable mods, everyone shaper gangsta til he gets hit with decoy totem suffix

This contained some helpful tips for me even though the basics (awaken two elevated, lock, augment, augment, elevate) was something I more or less deduced myself after reading video title.
What I don't understand however is how to go to Quad-elevated. It's "easy" (if expensive) to get to a point like this (or with prefixes/suffixes swapped):
Elevated Prefix
Elevated Prefix
Harvest-Removable Prefix
Elevated Suffix
Influenced Suffix
Prefixes cannot be changed
Now how do you actually go from this to Quad-elevated? In order to elevate the remaining influenced suffix you need another influenced mod for the Maven's Orb to remove. But there is no space left for such mod because of the "Prefixes cannot be changed". But if you remove that then the Maven's Orb can remove one of the elevated prefixes instead. Without the prefix lock the 4th elevation seems to be 1/8 chance to hit right. Did I miss something?
Yup that's the whole point of 4 elevated mods. Super rare just for that reason alone - gambling away your 3 elevated mod item :(
stun and block recovery is not that bad. you can still remove it by harvest influence/non influence. What if we get a very shitty nontag influence suffix after we use the awakener orb? such as dodge attack/spell?
Also another tip remember for chest if u have 3 prefix 3 suffix u dont have to craft prefix cannot be changed just to scour. You can do 3x rem non crit add crit and you will only hit suffixes because crit is only a suffix for chests. Itll save u 2 ex. But cafeful if youre going for t1s only u can hit tier 2 spell crit and its going to be harder to reroll especially if you have 3 crit mods already. If youre trying to get t1 spell Crit try to get it first on suffix and just spam rem add crit u til u hit it then do 2 non crit add crit.

Also, from the wiki and multiple Reddit posts, people are saying that the Maven's orb ignores the "suffixes/prefixes cannot be changed" craft. Can anyone verify from in-game if it does indeed work?
Done Maven crafting myself, tried the "suffixes/prefixes cannot be changed", what happens is that you'll get an error stating that you do not have enough influence or something.
It does not ignore the craft, it's more like the orb just treat it as if the suffix/prefixes do not exist at all.
TLDR; based on my own actual experience of using maven orb and trying that strategy, nope it wouldn't work.
if i already have 3 influence mod (1 elevated suffix + 1 T1 suffix and 1 T1 prefix) can the maven orb remove the elevated mod and upgrade one of the T1 or just ignore the elevated and is a 50/50 between the 2 T1 ??.
cuz im really curious on how ppl get 2 elevated mods on a item without using awakener orb for example lvl 25 hypothermia and spells have +4% to critical strike, those are 2 elevated suffix shaper mods

Maven's Orb only targets influenced mods, other mods are totally ignored. It doesn't remove/reroll any other mod.
Is there a Way to remove dodge (attacks or spells) from aWakened TailWind/Elusive boots? cant figure it out

They sell for that much because other than the investment, knowledge, patience and time, there’s also the frustration avoidance fee. Crafting has a price and many people are willing to pay to skip all that and simply play

go to filterblade and download a loot filter. choose the strictness level depending on what u want to drop. the rule is, if u arent picking it up, filter it.
How do you procede if you do the "non influence to influence" step and you get a random influenced suffix that has no tag? Then you got 3 Suffixes and no way to safely remove the unwanted suffix...
If you trully do not want the non tagged influence mod, then you plan with this mind.
You know what tags the mods on your item gonna have when its finished.
So you lookfor a tag that does absolutely nothing for item and augment said tag into the suffix category as a filler.
It was explained, as Matt looked for what he can use as suffix in the end-and found cold resist.
So for your answer: you first fill the suffix with something you can work with through harvest, or something you want on final item.
Crafting is about taking slow considered and carefully planned steps. With harvest, that is. Before it was a lot of gambling.

You can just click "prefix" or "suffix" under mods in the emulator and put anything you want
Ok, one thing. how do you even price check for Harvest mods? Since its not tradeable you cant see it on poe.trade. I dont see it on forums either. How do you even find reliable people? (since you give them your item to craft, this method ripe for scams)

Would it be easier to do 3 pre/suffixes and then the other one or would you go for 2 prefix 2 suffix in this case?
If we can have 3 prefixes elevated I'm thinking crusader/elder armor with elevated %life, elevated phys as fire and elevated explosion on the prefixes and then elevated %dex in suffix for the +1 dex gems which would be huge for BB chieftain.
If it's 2 on 2 we could go phys as fire and explosion prefixes and %dex and powercharge on crit which is probably a lot more damage anyway which might just be worth it anyway over the 3% max life gain.
Either way is waaaay beyond my ability to make currency in leagues as of yet but in standard I got a good start capital and I can slowly work my way up league by league after and have some fun with it there for a while :P Would finally bring some purpose to my standard stockpile of exalts xD
I think I just answered my own question by having a quick look lol... I feel like this would be a bit easier by using 2 on 2 here wouldn't it? If not for metacrafting it would be cus you'd have to start with the %dex modifier since it's tagged attributes only making it a pain to craft later on.
3 is EZ as I showed in this video, 4 is... ye 4 is where it becomes hell :D
the second route for explody can remove the damage taken as by tag and go non influence to influence with suffix full. Not sure if its cheaper tho
comparing to failing the phys annul and re phys slam since this also just provide explody and another unimportant infl mod

Harvest is a league mechanic which allows you to "target" craft, something that the game has been going toward for a while, but harvest is the final step where basically you get to "pick and choose" your items
This is helpful but he doesn't mention how long this would actually take lol. Considering you need to get the right Harvest crafts and/or pay for the crafts, get multiple maven's orbs, possibly do the process multiple times if it doesn't give the right outcome and then everyone's favorite part, getting t1 move speed on the most expensive craft, it's near impossible lol.
I am fairly shocked I figured all this for my helm before this video got to me.
The only thing I was not sure about was if maven orb cared about metamods, as Awaken orb does not.

So there is 4 phys inf mod....
You didn't listen to what he said carefully then. Damage taken as lightning and damage taken as chaos are from the same mod group, which means you can't have them both at the same time. If you augment phys 3 times, you are guaranteed to get reflect, explode, and damage taken as lightning/chaos

I mean... It's an educational video on how to make OP items not on how much of a pain it is to do so. I'd say it's pretty obvious how to make the elevated prefixes and suffixes so what can he teach us about it. You grab 2 bases, you get 2 influenced mods on both, you maven orb and pray it elevates the right one, if it doesn't you try again. Once you got them you awakener orb them together, viola, start of the video begins here. Would make the video 10 minutes longer just to show you how annoying it is and we learn nothing in the process.
Buy two bases with elevated mods and woke orb them, basically? Or take an item, get w.e mod you want via alts or w.e and aug something which guarantees some random inf mod you dont care care, maven orb, 50-50, do that on both bases, woke orb, there you are
Chest at 80 doesnt seem expensive imo. Except you are incredible lucky, there is no way to do it with 40ex as you states. Maven orbs, aw orbs, lots of aug crit and aug anything. It gets expensive reeeeeally fast.

Elevated mod is when you have a t1 influenced mod and one other influenced mod. hit it with a maven orb and one of the mods will be removed and the other mod elevated up a tier, if the one elevated up a tier is t1 then you end up with a t0 mod that is even better. Ex. crusader chest mod: enemies explode on death dealing 5% of their max hp as physical damage -> enemies explode on death dealing 5% of their max hp as physical damage and +#% to area of effect.
He doesn't address it out right... but seems that an elevated mod is pretty much turning a mod in to a T0 mod.
(I think this can only apply to influenced mods - but as I am no were near being able to craft anything I was playing while listening.. so might have missed the answer to that)

@@Palit0w95 The wording can be a little misleading but it's actually very specific. The empty space itself is not considered a suffix so adding a suffix is not the same as changing a suffix. The same can happen with the harvest craft "Reforge a Rare item, keeping all Suffixes". Sometimes people mistakenly refer to this craft as "reforge prefix, keep suffix" but it is actually capable of adding a suffix if there are empty slots for the same reason.

I recommend using Bleed Bow gladiator, its not expensive to start. I used it as league starter and it has blossomed into 60+ ex build now but even right out the gate at around 60c I was able to do T10 beachheads after finishing campaign. There are many vids on the bleed bows and such too. With Harvest it should be easy to craft items and bows especially for it as well.
very informative video. But the realistically the people who had 80 ex just lying there to craft the boots probably also know how to craft them. For me I have never seen 80ex in my life lolz.. and I always wonder how come people come by 100 of exalts to buy gear like these.
