Oh my God I am in tears right now. this came a a perfect time for me. I have been struggling with my 10 year old daughter (step daughter) and I could not understand or did not know how to handle the challenges we have been having. This has made me realize that I am the adult in this situation, and she is the child, this was so helpful. Great content and God bless

Beautiful conversation indeed. I have a 2year old daughter and I used to worry that I won't find a man who will love her as much as I do. But to hear another woman saying "My son is my everything" (even though he is not her biological son), it gives me hope that my husband is out there and when the timing is right- God will make it happen. I was referred to by a friend. I’m currently in a relationship with someone that has a child outside the relationship. I must say that this video was so informative. It’s not easy at all. My boyfriend’s baby mama is really spreading the negative energy and she’s making this whole process difficult for me. She would call and lie that the child is sick and making unnecessary demands just to ruin our moments and stress my man out. Sometimes she would deny mans access to the baby. I know she might be hurting but she’s not helping. I wish she could be open minded to this and put her differences aside and co-parent. Sometimes mans want to stop reaching out but I’m always there to encourage and advise him to do it for his child.

I think the biggest take away for me in this video is that boundaries are important and that the partner with the child needs to set the tone for how things will progress with the co-parenting

@@mbalimasombuka4384 it's not easy honestly! But its all dependant on the GUY. As much as "pray about it" sounds cliché but it's very important. For me we spoke about the reasons they not together etc etc.

Katlego's testimony is similar to mine👀, the guy I've been dating for the past few months has a son, 3 years old and I met the kid a few weeks after meeting his dad. And even today I'm still trying to get to know him and the kid is still warming up to me.
I'm just so scared of what the future holds for us, if I marry this guy because we're in a serious relationship.m and his son is a very important part of his life.

Oh wow Buli this was so informative, lol I'm not a mom yet not even married or dating but this was really on point. I really love your friend, she's so matured and wise, so organized...Some people were really made for these kind of things, she is such a mom! What a queen really! Lol its like she studied to be like this, I really love to see it.
I'm one of blended family.. I have 2 stepdaughters, that I love dearly.. They both 18 yrs ... I have been with them for 12 yrs now... Me and my husband have 17yr old son and 11 yr old daughter... We are happily family of 6.... 3 teenagers... Very hectic.. The support I get from my husband is amazing.. Even from their mothers... I get along very well with them... The challenge started when my husband lost his job... My goodness, I felt it... For 10 full years... jobless... God has been my strength... It has not been easy... My sister and my mother has been very financially supportive to the whole family...
Every dark cloud has a silver lining, seasons come and they go. When Gods blessing overtake you and your family of 6 it will blow you away!

This was a very interesting conversation and I am so glad to hear from another young lady how she is going about it. I definately want to go about things in a less chaotic manner and be mature about it all, especially when I feel like the mom isn't. Thank you Katlego for the advice about being the bigger person when the other party isn't coming correct. I think keeping the conversations all about the kid is really important, for both parents and always respecting the others boundaries.

I love the fact the husband did the mediating part, that is very important. I have grown up in a blended family and if that step is missed it causes a lot of confusion and entitlement with the baby mummy that can cause a lot of misunderstandings

I loved this conversation and gave me further insight to what i did not know. and honestly speaking i fall into the "i know i cannot do this" category. I know life throws you curve balls but in my head i want a certain structure for my child and having another external person influence/ me influence their child/ my child would be HARD for me. so i guess (hopefully not) if i'm faced with such i would rrruuunn. and honestly its OK, not everyone can do this.
