I've run into a few problems and I'm not even 3 minutes in. First I had trouble getting the background frame to divide (finally got it, but it wasn't well-explained). Now trying to create the polka dot pattern - also not well explained. I'm stuck on how to make a transparent pattern that will fill the black polka dots over top of the selected red area and still show the red. When I try to do it, it's giving me a polka dot pattern with a white background that covers up the red. How do I make the pattern so it only inserts the polka dots and not a fill color?
i dont understand how you keep a red background after putting the dots on the first panel. here it becomes black dots with white background after i created a dot and put it into swathes. where the white becomes transparent ??? thanks
you need to open the appearance panel and select the color fill layer in that panel, then use the menu to add new fill, then click to select the pattern in the swatch panel, then drag the layer above in the appearance panel
10:28 it is impossible to see which effect they chose to mess up the typing. it s so fast that u only see what she does. but u can never see how she did
how did you do the first smoke using the pentool can you please make a tutorial cz there's a part i didn't get while you were making it you were going to fast i couldn't catch it

Copy your red layer, paste in place, then do the dot thing

I can't figure out how to draw the explosion with the sharp spikes (over red background). How did you do that?
