Microwave Oven fuse keep blowing.

  • Every time I put a new fuse on the microwave oven to run it, it will run for a 2 seconds and blow the fuse again, so I did some testing on all the parts and find out that the high voltage capacitor is bad, so I replace the bad capacitor and put on a new fuse and run it, for a few seconds and it work great again.

When testing, never let the microwave run empty. There should always be a glass of water inside to absorb the heat. Letting it run empty causes "bouncing" waves, which can lead to malfunction.

Good point. That's why I only run it for 12 seconds. every time I testing a microwave oven to know if it heating. I does only run it for 12 seconds. I know what will happen if it run for more then 12 seconds. thanks for the heads up.

well if all the parts check ok, well then there is nothing leaf to do then to buy a new microwave. remember you can't fix all the microwave all the time, some times I come across some microwave that can't be fix. I spend hours trying to fix it and in the end it can't be fix. that's life.
