@@sigunz I think it is more about the amps(old marshalls vs Newer ones) and whatever else(wha pedal,etc) MS used back with UFO and early MSG?There was absolutely nothing wrong with the tone from that dean V he played even though i prefer Gibson as my Brand. I play LP's, SG's and explorers by Gibson but Dean did make a good instrument regardless.The reality of it is that Dean was just a copy of a Gibson V anyway.
@@frednance3988 Uli's guitars had been lost that day at an airport, it seems. His Sky guitars being made by Dean guitars and MS being put to sleep by Dean, UJR was able to play on it without any problems, the two guitarists being friends for 50 years.....
Michael is back with his Gibson again, those Dean guitars never looked right. He has a black one and a white one, I wonder if Gibson will make a black and white one again? This was a great gig

If I'm to believe what I read at the time, MS abandoned Gibson in the early 2000s for two reasons: the first was that Gibson had always refused to create a 'signature' guitar for him, something it had done for his brother Rudolf; Incidentally, you can say what you like about Michael (alcohol, drugs, unstable and unpredictable character...), but Rudolf was a dishonest bastard to his brother at the time of 'Lovedrive', well aware that Michael was going to overshadow him and take his place as leader if he stayed in the Scorpions... Secondly, at the same time (early 2000s), all the photos and videos of MS - then in the middle of a divorce - with a Flying V in his hands generated rights and royalties which went into his ex-wife's pocket. Dean Guitars, in its quest for fame, took the prize.....
I have a greco black an white flying V , really Nice shape and neck , just the humbuckers to change for seymour . It s now my favorite guitar. Michael and his guitar definitively changed my life forever 42 years ago when I listened to "ready to rock", "on and on".......I clearly remembered the 🫨
I think he deserves a signature Gibson. he did better solos with his Dean. Gibson get him in your factory and make a guitar for him. How many players bought a V after seeing him play?

Never the same solo, blackmore, Malmsteen and Schenker never plays the same solo but improvisera, I like that

NO he did "better solo's" with UFO and early MSG and those were all with a Gibson! 😁
