This video inspired me to get out and start working on my old rig! I have to turn my “It’ll get done eventually” into reality lol. Looking forward to more blazer content.
Thanks! One of the few Chevy’s I’d actually own. My Dad had a ‘71 4x4 Suburban in the same color, and this K5 belonged to my cousin. There are a few MOPAR’s out there I’d like as well, like a 68-69 Charger!
Bean water is much needed. I suggest switching to cold brew. Not as bitter and even more flavorful than that acidic stuff you drink everyday. Enjoying the videos Stevey.
Thanks! The wheels and tires look better than I expected honestly! The Blue is actually Chevrolet Medium Blue, option number 1510AA. One of the reasons I got this rig actually, its the same color scheme as the 71 Suburban my Dad had when I was a kid!
Im not sure on the amount, I cannot find the stock arm to compare it to. There is only 1 arm from the steering box to the drivers side steering knuckle. A drag link connects one side to the other. I think if you are in need of one, check out the Rough Country website, they might be able to specify how much of a raised arm you need depending on the height of your lift. Mine is a 6” lift and the Steering arm was included.
71 is a good year. I also own a 71 Blazer and it also has a 6” lift with 35” tires. Though it is not nearly complete, when the top is off and you’re on the streets it definitely turns heads.
I love my 71 Blazer! I’m waiting (and waiting and waiting) for my engine and axles to return. I’m going to be performing some surgery on her this week!
@@gqmartinez1 I am building a 500hp 6.0ls, it’s been at the machine shop for 10 months! We dont have a lot of good machine shops here, only 1 is highly recommended, and they have a very long wait. But, the machine work is complete, waiting on a couple parts for the heads.
@@gqmartinez1 It should be fun to drive for sure, I am also having the axles re-geared to 4.10. Should be better than the 175hp 350 and 3.73 gears it came with. Using a 4l65e and I have an Advance Adapters plate to still use the NP205 transfer case.

Hey brother... What size are the new wheels and tires? Fun video!
Thanks man! Wheels are Weld Aragon 20x12, tires are Rough Country 35 12.50R20
@@BlueOvalRescue They look great! I'll bet you're gonna really enjoy them!

Need new beans! Thank you DC!!
Ford blue on a Blazer. Nice wheel/tire package BTW. I despise rubber band tires on anything classic and all 4x4s.

Did you change out the pitman arm And steering arm? For extended ones?
Yes! The kit came with a new Pitman arm
@@BlueOvalRescue how much drop for the pitman arm? 2 inches? Thanks also steering arm 4inches?

@@BlueOvalRescue that thing is going to have some serious horsepower. Something I plan to do as well in the future.
