    Only supervisors are being laid off. How do I know? I'm a proud trainer and supervisor of 3 years. I just got my letter today saying that I will be laid off at the end of next month. It hurts me because this job is what has allowed me as a single father to provide for my daughter. Now I'm being told that I'm going to be let go with one month of severance with a pat on the back and someone telling me, "good luck." Good luck does not put food on the table for my growing child.

      The ceo is downsizing the company intentionally. The last motivational book she read was called "better not bigger". She turned ups into "bitter not better". Very toxic and greedy person. You have to work here to understand.

    It’s typical for all companies to have slow productivity the first few months of the year. UPS is a strong company that ain’t going anywhere. Their stock has been dropping and here I am waiting for the lowest point to get in. 💵🍻😁

      @boblaser7385 4 месяца назад

      Yea, stay poor, while stockholders get rid of your insurance, pensions, 401k matches, wages and reimbursements for doing the job, until they finally automate your job meanwhile, making shareholders rich off your work. That's a great strategy! And good luck starting a mom and pop business just to be crushed by these elitist corporations, all while having no job protection for when you get injured from negligence or safety violations and fired for it. No wonder this country has went belly up. The idiocy is astounding. 🤦‍♂️🤡

      They are laying off management jobs because they mass hired them while the contract was being negotiated to keep down the work force and save them money by having them steal the work. It got my whole sort shut because the company does not care about our working rights. They did this to themselves

    It could be a sign of the future of the economy. Media allways hypes things up when an election is near to the dem-o-rat advantage but you cannot hide facts. How are other shippers doing? How is freight moving? Then again this is the second time their CEO has answered questions with "we don't know?" I would not want to hear that from a CEO.🦇

      Better pay and better benefits. What the workers deserve. This only occurred because the management was being greedy. Ironic how a work force can be "Heroes" during a major crisis, then be "getting what they deserve" as soon as the company is forced into doing the right thing. So much for "ask not what your country can do for you, but you can do for your country". People with this ungrateful mentality is exactly why this country is in the state it is in. All you care about is yourselves, getting your instant delivery. Ingrates at their best!😂

    i hate to say this, but this is what they deserve. ups says they have not had a good couple of years, the employes dont care they want to strike and make 170 grand a year, this is insane. if ups is not doing great they really cant give out big pay raises, these people need to understand that. so now its going to be fewer people doing more work to make up the layoffs. you reap what you sew

    • @boblaser7385

      Its hilarious to find people commenting on something they obviously know absolutely nothing about. UPS has had record breaking profits as a company year over year for over 15 years. They made enough profit during the pandemic alone to cover the cost of this agreement and increased their shipping cost 11% before the contract negotiations. The majority of UPS labor force is part time. You'd have to be the most naive person on the planet to believe that someone working part time makes $170k a year. 😂
