Must feel pretty good proving all those naysayers wrong. I always believed he would be good, just never expected him to be THIS good so soon. Let’s go Mo!

Seider didn't just proved the naysayers wrong, he proved himself wrong. His shocked expression at being drafted suggests he never expected it - would take Broberg over himself.

When I saw the pick, I was excited, not because I am from Germany, but when I listened to his interviews, you could hear, how humble but at the same time how cool and confident he was. Moritz fits into the tradition of humble winners of the organization. As a life long fan, I am so happy, that he is a Red Wing!

There is definitely something to be said about players that are in that next level tier and being humble and down to earth. They think very analytically or at the very least thought out when they speak. Its very soothing to hear as a hockey fan. Rather then the ohhs and umms constantly, or the very plain we gotta get the puck deep and play the body comments.

I researched the top guys in the draft and had several players I thought they might pick, then they picked Mo and I said who?!? I’ve never even heard of that guy WTF?!? After then watching/ learning more about him I felt much better but I can’t lie, initially, my jaw was on the floor and I thought Stevie’s first high pick and he blew it! I can’t believe it… I’m just being honest.
I’ve been watching ever since, I’m Grand Rapids, in Europe, and I was super excited for him to make the team this year. And then he delivers another WTF! Moment, he’s even better, no make that MUCH better than expectations, and the expectations were already (I thought at the time) unreasonable for a first year D-man. I have never enjoyed being so wrong in my life. When’s the season start?
