    I think it's so cool that we have budding Pasifika designers and I for one believe that people should totally go hard for what they believe in and are passionate about. But what I so often see is the lack of uniqueness coming through. Watching this Fashion Show is like watching a copied version of mainstream Fashion Shows, the only difference is that these designers are using pacific patterns and fabric. Also, one thing I think is important to know is that it's important to be the differences in all the cultures, so when I see Pasifika men and women walking down the runway wearing next to nothing I cringe because that is not the Faasamoa - that is obviously acceptable in many White cultures but it certainly is not in Pasifika culture. We don't have to throw away our Aganuu to keep up with the trend. Modesty is not lost, especially in our Culture!
