This is a physical interpretation I've come up with for the conclusion at 49:50 : since h is high, the temperature of the fin drops from T_b to something very close to T_inf over a very short length, so its almost as if you're not adding much by introducing the fin, and therefore you're not that worse off without it. Is this line of thinking correct?
