Great video! I think in subsequent videos, I’d be interested to know a bit more about some of the more obscure provincial tax credits people can claim this season such as the Ontario Staycation Tax Credit that not many people know about.
@@jessicamoorhouse employed and side hustle one. It's really nice. I am learning about all these tax stuff and small business claims things like that and surprisingly you cover those topics. Thank you so much. Making my stress go away.
I'm not an accountant so no, so I'd suggest working with an accountant that specializing with corporate tax returns or TurboTax has a solution but it's more DIY turbotax.intuit.ca/tax/software/business/business-incorporated
I don't and if you're incorporated, I'd suggest using an accountant to help you file (that's what I've always done). And highly recommend getting a bookkeeper or using something like Quickbooks to keep all your books organized (once I incorporated I hired a bookkeeper and it was the best thing I've ever done).
For medical expense tax credits how would partially covered items work. I understand you have to submit receipts for the expenses but do you also have to submit copies of your claims as well?
If you're asking "What if part of my medical expense is covered by insurance?" then the answer would be "When medical expenses are reimbursed by an insurance plan, only the portion not reimbursed can be claimed." For other questions about medical expenses, this is a pretty comprehensive article that may help www.taxtips.ca/filing/medical-expense-tax-credit.htm
If i bring over 100k $ from overseas earned as a salary as cash deposited in my bank account once i come to Canada as PR. Do i get taxed anytime ever for this amount earned prior to coming?
While I do love your videos, I think we are extremely over taxed in this country. Progressive would be fine if we didnt have all these extra taxes on individual items. Completely unfair, it may help with poverty gap but only by bringing a higher class down. Not necessarily bringing the lower class up.

How much does turbo tax charge for filing taxes?
Depends on which version you use. You can check out their different software and pricing on their website turbotax.intuit.ca/tax/software
