I had a shaman arena deck where I drafted 3 chain gangs. And my best game involved discovering Grumble off the discover an elemental dude. It was preeettty good.

im trying to think of a really good egg priest deck for the new expansion.
brainstorming quest with shadow visions, then shuffle quest and discover it by having three spells besides quest, but i just cant get the consistency needed to complete the quest twice consistently without cards like weasel tunneler. if i need to use the cards without deathrattle that activate the eggs like mossy horror but i cant auto complete the quest with the priest legendary spell.

Because by itself shudderwock is strong but not game ending, it's the infinite 1 mana shudderwocks provided by grumble that make it so stupid.

I ain’t gonna lie, Hearthstone has really gotten better since Ben Brode has left. At least for me. I’m actually really digging the new cards and it looks like maybe there will be a shift in this aggro meta. I’m gonna go on a limb here and say maybe Ben was holding Hearthstone back this whole time. I dunno but I definitely like where Hearthstone is headed.
Rpg 39 do you even realise that the HS team consists of 80+ people, and Ben Brode didn’t completely decide everything about the game? Yes, he probably had more of a say than his colleagues, but being a game director doesnt mean you get to dictate everything that happens when designing a game. Projects like this need someone to lead, otherwise decisions would never be made. So yes, he does have more of a say in everything about the game, but no its bs to say its better since he left. The rest of the team still consists of the same people, with the same ideas. Maybe the new director wants to try something different, and so does the team, but i doubt it’ll change much. Aside from that, expansions are made months in advance, meaning Ben probably helped (or led the design of ) Boomsday as well. Maybe a new game director does change things, but Ben had been there from the start. Maybe a fresh look would be nice for a change, but i think it would be getting better only because of the ‘newness’ not the fact that the new director is ‘better’ than Ben. He knew the game better than anyone, i’d say.
But that’s just my 2 cents.
builderjari I ain’t backing down from what I said. My statement stands. I don’t agree with any of Ben’s decisions. Combo decks are complete trash and cards like Shufferwock shouldn’t exist. Ben pushed for Shudderwock. He likes the card. I have no faith in any of his leadership. Combo decks are the death of the game for me. Hearthstone is unplayable when decks like this exist. If your opponent draws certain cards, you lose. When a card game does this i leave. It leaves no player interaction. Ben was and is no good for the game in my opinion. He wants bad cards to exist and he wants some cards to be op and over used. He has no idea how to run a card game. Hearthstone is popular mostly because of hype and not because it’s a good game. Hearthstone is barely a 5/10 game and maybe a 5.5/10 now that he’s gone. I’m glad he’s gone and I will never play anything he creates. Period.
Now if only there was a spell that says : "For the rest of the game, your opponent takes 5 damage whenever they use a battlecry effect."

I think that when Blizzard dreams up cards like Shudderwock, this is the use case they see: a deck built around a legendary that grants lots of value ...as opposed to the unholy game breaking abominations that boast the higher win rates.

Blizz never wanted it to be such a horrible nightmare, but that's what they get for underestimating it.
Seems like Grumble is actually the problem, not Shudderwock per se.

Sounds like Rania is trying to make up for the atrocious sound setup Kripp has during his live streams, by finally incorporating some dynamic compression on his voice. However not only is the master level still way lowered, she rode the compression effect way too hard and now his voice sounds completely punched through.

One of the first times a meta deck has been a fun deck, IMO. I'm mainly an arena player but before this my favorite deck was Exodia Mage, which frankly just wasn't good.
