Greetings from Germany! Glad you enjoyed my map. Too bad you had two rounds where the coverage I initially choose got overwritten by more recent coverage. Actually, the NZ round should have featured a big-ass German flag in the center of the screen and in the New Orleans.. I mean Melbourne.. sorry.. Cape Town round, the restaurant, which now appears to be all black, also had a plethora of German flags flying. I'm trying to keep the map up to date, but it's getting more and more challenging the more locations I'm adding.
import all your locations into map-making.app and select the image date you want (not default). then export and import into geo. it wont ever update again
@@autopilot7561 I actually did that in the past, but I feel like it only works when I reset a (previously updated) location to an older date. All the other ones will still update whenever there's new coverage available. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
@@skierst did you choose the "default" one? for the newest cov there are two options, with and without default. you need to pick the latter. or maybe youre checking the loc in the geo mapmaker? ignore what it shows there
@@autopilot7561 no.. I'm aware that we have to ignore what the mapmaker. but i'll have to look up the thing with the default option. thanks for the insight.
15:11 funny how you can see the golden gate bridge *better* from Lands End (where you plonked) than from Presidio, because of how the hills are arranged
I got 4/5 on switzerland vs japan map just barely getting more points than you did by a few hundred. messed up the handrail round that you got right but got the one you got wrong right.
i got 3 out of 5 on the first map hahah i did pretty much the same on the bicycle map but i went iceland instead on R2! the Not Germany map was funny, i didn't do very well but i had a good time. i actually went that one place in R4 the last map was a fun one. seeing all those cars right on the beach in R4 was quite interesting. nice switch on R5!
Fun maps! I psyched myself out too much on Switzerland v. Japan... When the round felt too obviously Swiss I thought "surely this is just bait"... For R4 of "I Can't Believe It's Not Germany!", I recognized the design of the street signs. That city uses white signs with black text. ;)
The only I knew that you didn't was the German one where you went to Melbourne. I said oh noooo! I've seen it before that some South African buildings have that New Orleans French Quarter vibe. Also the African restaurant meant it prob was not Australia.
This is New Orleans. Wait a minute, this isn’t New Orleans, this is Australia! *Ends up being South Africa* 😂😂😂. Bro that had me rolling. That’s honestly something I would definitely do.

The classic New Orleans/Melbourne/Cape Town tossup
The 3 most similar cities
loved it
That switch to Biloxi was legendary
I laughed so hard on New Orleans/Melbourne/Cape Town round. Somehow I guessed that right, but in the next round I went for wrong Portland 😂
So weird, I’ve done a DJ set in one of those bars on that street (long st) in Cape Town 😂I was shouting at the screen

14:19 i recognized the presidio immediately. It's crazy how far away the big buildings look when you're so close to the center of SF

Nice job as always CG! I personally enjoy most of your content and just blown away how you get some of these places! Good stuff. Thank you

I used to work right across the street from that German deli in Largo.

That was very fun! Its cool playing unique maps you normally don't play. gg's to all!
GGs, thanks for watching and playing along!
The way I screamed Biloxi at my screen. 🤣 My mom lives in Gulfport like 10 minutes up that road and I immediately recognized it.
That red building is a mini golf place we like to go to when we all visit. I saw it and was like NO WAY.
These maps are fun! I got lucky on the US coastlines and germany maps and just barely got a higher score than you, which I'm quite proud of :)
Great video as always

Bro is insane at us
lol we played the same game on the germany one except I tunnel visioned on the WA plates

11:25 - the moment when flag doesn't lie, actually))
I was so lost there lmfaooo

bro you're insane
going australia on ZA while having a south african flag right in front of him smh :D
On the Cape Town round, was the "German thing" not the BMW in the centre of the frame?
Wow I didn't even notice that 💀
Switzerland or Japan
Switzerland or Japan
Switzerland or Japan
What is closer to Cape Town, New Orleans or Melbourne?
11:40 😱😱😱💀💀💀🤣🤣🤣
流石に自分の国との二択だと分かりました。
First
Vredenburg is Afrikaans not German.
The restaurant in the center of the screen was a German one in the past, but the place got a new owner as well as new coverage, as it appears.
