that is the best part of the show, both the Goblin and Spidey go into the audience multiple times and Goblin breaks the fourth wall. "Thank you very much. I'll be on top of the Chrysler building all week".
The scariest part of Green Goblin is his dancing. Apparently, the costume designer forgot to consult with the choreographer beforehand. He got the moves like Grandpa.
I feel terrible that one of my favorite Broadway actors Patrick Page was in this as the green goblin. don't get me wrong, the costume really is amazing, but who thought this was an okay thing to actually do? Update: Alright i'm starting to like this song help me
This song is actually really different when you see the show. It's at a faster tempo and they cut out the second chorus that wasn't really needed. BEST song in the show!
"Quick, we need a cool clip to put in the video for A Freak Likes Me! What're you thinking?" "Oh that part where he drank water that one time. Shit was so dope."
i feel like i should go to new york city and sing this not because it's a good song that much, just because it;s catchy and we're all pretty weird and stuff XD
Gotta admit, this song and "I'll Take Make Manhattan" made me laugh so much! The way that the Goblin interacts with the audience at the beginning of this song is priceless.
Should’ve have just had mysterio there to begin with instead of making their own original character that nobody cared about. Swarm hardly gets used but at least he was actually one of the sinister 6 at one point
Deadpool the musical, Include songs like: *Look i got Cancer *Weapon X made me this *Im the merc with a mouth *Loving the death *Chimichanga time *And more!!!! ^_^
Honestly I really dig the song and the light up comic style pictures of the sinister six in the back. But I still can’t fathom why they made their own character rather than just adding Mysterio or Vulture
this show is so interesting, it set records highest box office gross and the highest single week gross in broadway history. it was also the biggest financial flop in broadway history, with a 60 million dollar loss. ticket sales were good but the costs were just too high. it was never able to earn enough to offset the absurdly high costs of production.
Saw it in late October and it was fantastic. Sure it was a little cheesy but that's the definition of Broadway. No question that Patrick Page (Goblin) steals the show.
Oh, wow. Just look at that choreography. It looks like a wild animal was prancing around the stage during rehearsal, and they decided to mimic it for the dance number. And don't even get me started on the costumes.
I saw this for my birthday it was one of the best shows EVER!!! I loved it so much! It was totally epic! And seriously, Reeve Carney (Peter Parker/Spiderman) is totally sexy!!!
I wanna see this show so badly but I live in Australia! I wish that this show would tour, but I known that it is pretty much impossible with all of the stunts and machinery that is used in the show But it's nice to dream...
From what I understand this was gonna be part of an actual DVD version of the show that they ended up scrapping because the show was getting low ratings and losing money. Luckily we at least got that one RUclips channel who has like 3 different versions of the full show available.
This musical wont ever come to finland, so I DO hope it will be made in to DVD, so just to have a great laugh, I could buy it. Then again there are a log of great musicals, that arent turned on DVD, even thou they SHOULD be....
I kinda like this goblin's outfit for some reason, so long a the arm spikes have practical use for weapons, the whole outfit just screams " i'm gonna bring chaos to your world "
This was one of my favourite songs from the show. Ca ou tell me the same of the song that was sung by normo osbourne and his wife in the first act (shortly after Norman told Peter "Love is what keeps you sane.")
YES! I finally found out what the song from that Diamanda Hagan review was! I think it was actually probably better used there, despite the fact that most of it was over sex scenes.
@captaintaco2345 That's because as I remember It...Bono wanted this song in to begin with, and it was a song that was meant for the original villan "Arachnia"..... I think it was Julie who decided it should be changed, since it was supposed to be something of her theme. It was changed to a song called "Deeply Furious" ...so when she left and Arachnia was scrapped, I guess they said "HEY! Let's do it! " and tossed that bad boy back in.
I know this show had trouble in the past, but there's time for improvement, it seems like a nice show they just need to fix the stuf behind and on the stage and everything would go smoothly, no bodies perfect. I love the songs in the play, yet i havn't seen the full version yet and i love Spider-man which is odd. lols.
Man, Frollo's lust for Esmeralda drove him to some weird places.
I don't think Tony Jay had anything to do with this. Not sure that Swiss Miss has anything to do with that either.
He died falling with a gargoyle only to die falling with a piano😂
@@Aristocles22 He's referring to the fact that the Green Goblin's actor here also portrayed Frollo in a Hunchback stage adaptation
At least he isn't burning down Paris
"Im a 65 million dollar circus tragedy"
This broadway musical in a nutshell
you wonder why'd they'd even leave that line in because it really just seems like they're setting themselves up for that lol
@@MeritlessMemes I think it’s because they were trying to describe Green Goblin’s appearance as a lab experiment gone wrong sort of thing
Thanks for your input moron
It was almost 80m$ to make this show
@@brianorozco1074. I don't think Julie Taymor even knew about Spider-man until she heard his name and a brief origin story with which she ran with
"I'm a 65 million dollar circus tragedy"
Oddly enough, that's exactly what the critics said too!
that is the best part of the show, both the Goblin and Spidey go into the audience multiple times and Goblin breaks the fourth wall. "Thank you very much. I'll be on top of the Chrysler building all week".
The scariest part of Green Goblin is his dancing. Apparently, the costume designer forgot to consult with the choreographer beforehand. He got the moves like Grandpa.
It kind of works though. He is supposed to be the campiest of sinister.
Specifically Grandpa Sawyer
I love how he randomly drinks coffee at 0:15
Lol
Get me some milk.
he's a business man. Coffee is his life essence
Wow. Never thought I'd see a villain as menacing as the Green Goblin in a dashing Broadway musical number. This vid is so addictive.
Hello, I'm The Lizard. I may be on Broadway, but I'm actually more commonly found as a waving arm tube man at your local used car dealership.
I feel terrible that one of my favorite Broadway actors Patrick Page was in this as the green goblin. don't get me wrong, the costume really is amazing, but who thought this was an okay thing to actually do?
Update: Alright i'm starting to like this song help me
S. Spyro7956 Patrick Page, great actor brilliantly played Claude Frollo in Hunchback, what other villain did he play.....green goblin?.............
Zenon Zamora and now he’s hades in Hadestown. Another villain 😂🤣
The song slaps because the actor is just that good.
He had to play this to get to play Hades in Hadestown, and he also got Reeve to do it and play Orpheus, since he played Spider-Man in this show
BEST song in the show! If you think this sounds good, when you actually see the show it's just pure awesomeness!!!!!
If that’s the best song in the show I don’t want to know what the other songs are like
ALSO
SASSY DINOSAUR DANCE
lol lizard dose look like a dinosaur
ikr it's really like omg
But his moves tho
It's Rex from Toy Story!:D Childhood improved.
A litlle Godzila
Wow. George Santos really hit it out of the park with this one.
This song is actually really different when you see the show. It's at a faster tempo and they cut out the second chorus that wasn't really needed. BEST song in the show!
when are they doing the dark knight trilogy?
Hopefully never
I’m just waiting for Broadway to produce Godzilla the Musical.
Best part of the show is its cast and that's it.
They should reference this in the next Spiderverse movie
I came here because of Helluva Boss S2 E11. The voice of Satan is the Green Goblin
David Bowie Vibes for sure
HOW DID I NOT HERE ABOUT THIS MUSICAL UNTIL NOW IN 2018!?!?!?!?!?!?
By God, this is the most fabulous thing I've ever seen in my life.
Probably one of my favourite tracks from this musical!
Same
They got Kraven and Carnage right. The rest not so much.
Lizard looks like those inflatable mascots at basketball and football games that eat cheerleaders
i really like the song and its in my head
Lizard looks like that inflatable T-rex costume
I LOVED THIS SHOW!
Song slaps though
Totally
When the lizard pops out at you I screamed xD
This musical is amazing. I saw it twice
I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul
Being evil has never been so FAAAAABULOOOOOUS
I saw this in the Foxwood Theatre back in May - excellent, EXCELLENT show. Downloaded the soundtrack as soon as it was released.
He went from Frollo to Green Goblin now, Satan!! Kudos to patrick page

godbless i love this musical
@geekygiy
the yellow one is "Swarm" a lesser villian and the spikey one is Swiss Miss, created for the show
At this one has nothing to do with racism unlike lotus which originally had the same name
Wish Mysterio were in this...well...to be honest, being a showbiz guy, Mysterio deserves a stage show of his own
That would’ve been really cool
Should’ve have just had mysterio there to begin with instead of making their own original character that nobody cared about. Swarm hardly gets used but at least he was actually one of the sinister 6 at one point
am I the only one who wants a deadpool musical? I mean think of the posibilities 😈
I agree. I'm wearing my Deadpool pajamas right now actually. lol.
YES! OMG! that would be so cool if he broke the forth wall
Christopher Jimenez Deadpool has a musical in a comicbook. Look it up.
Deadpool the musical, Include songs like:

Hades really does fuck all when Persephone is gone
saw the show on broadway yesterday. It was absolutely Amazing (no spidey pun intended) really great musical

I like the idea of weirdly queer Spider-Man musical a lot actually, but I think they really did it the worst way they could've sadly
The "$65 Million Circus Tragedy" line made me laugh. Excellent song!
I have never done drugs... and with this in my head, I will never need to...
Oh, wow. Just look at that choreography. It looks like a wild animal was prancing around the stage during rehearsal, and they decided to mimic it for the dance number. And don't even get me started on the costumes.
Yeah I'm gonna have nightmares
Saw this today and it was awesome!
At first I was like, "Whut?"
But now it's not bad and I really love the chorus.
I saw this for my birthday it was one of the best shows EVER!!! I loved it so much! It was totally epic! And seriously, Reeve Carney (Peter Parker/Spiderman) is totally sexy!!!
Love this song!
This song is actually kinda nice tbh
I know right haha
Patrick Page was frigging awesome in the show. The Goblin nearly steals the show.
@Ed Romero, Swarm isn't a new villian, he's been around since the 70's. He's just really obscure.
And people say the Willem Dafoe Green Goblin looks like a Power Rangers character
I loved this musical!
I wanna see this show so badly but I live in Australia!
I wish that this show would tour, but I known that it is pretty much impossible with all of the stunts and machinery that is used in the show

Hahahahahahahahaha sorry for your loss
It's gonna go on tour in 2016
*Rachael Ewins I live in Australia too.
i cant understand a single word of what green goblin is talking
Patrick Page! He also played the Grinch in the musical/Broadway version of How The Grinch Stole Christmas :)
Man Hades... Persephone was right, you really have changed.
That lizard costume looks like it’s cheap 0:35
Whoever made this costume, it's less terrifying
I know jesus christ how hard would it be for them to make a puppet they celary had money for suing stunts 😂😂
0:30 LOL at the dinosaur.
This is so awesome...just this song.
Kinda grows on ya.
If this doesn't turn into a flashmob any day soon then I am going to be severely disappointed
The morr I see this vod, the more I want to see the play in New York.
i think this is the best song of the show.
Ok but why does this actually go hard?

saw this song in the macy's thanksgiving parade so good :) wish they would release all the songs though :/
@geekygiy Hi geekygiy, the yellow villain is Swarm and the villain with metal spikes is Swiss Miss.
I feel like they should make a new version of this play, but with better costumes, and a new story
I agree, because supposedly this show got horrible reviews
Loving the dinosaur at the back;D
metallic! SO METALLIC that costume!

"I'm a $65, 000, 000 circus tragedy!" Yep, that's this show in a nutshell folks.

I...I don't even know what to feel right now...
Green Goblin solo parts of this song totally makes up for the rest of the song
Sounds like a gay pride song.
JJdaPK That was probably the intention. Broadway musicals succeed or fail on the merits of their gay subtext. You've got to know your audience.
Frank I heard somewhere that they're made entirely out of bees.
I thought they had giant green lizards come out of their stomachs.
I thought they were bees that had lizards coming out of their stomachs...
It does echo Village People.
This song has somehow gripped me. It’s just fun and catchy. I don’t know how but it just is.
When you actually see the show, you'll find out that this song is different than the album. There are parts that are in the show but not on the album.
I didn't know that Lady Gaga plays the Green Goblin...
