I'm one of the rare people who thinks this is actually a good commercial. Brilliant marketing from Chanel. if you look beyond the obvious (which is actually funny and ridiculous,yes), he's talking about his significant other. How she's always there for him, their life together, what they dream of, etc. If you imagine that Angelina stands before him, and you would see him speaking those words to her, than you understand what this commercial is all about. His declaration of love to her. And he recognises her everywhere, because she has always worn No.5. What woman wouldn't want her husband/boyfriend to speak those words to her? I know I would.
The idea is excellent, but the execution of it is disastrous. It leaves too much room for people to troll or associate it with the trolling. Trolling may be beneficial to popular brands like Coca Cola, McDonald's or Apple, but is definitely detrimental to niche market and noble brands like Chanel.

This kind of reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer hired an ad agency to make a commercial for Mr. Plow, his snow removal business. The commercial ended up being so bizarre and abstract and had nothing to do with the product, kind of like this!

I mean this is not just a perfume, this is THE perfume. I think guys are missing a lot if they never tried this at least once. The charm is unmistakable. It's not something that completely wows you the first time, but its magic is that it works for almost any situation and anyone, even guys. I wore this now and I love the way it smells...
