As someone from the UK , the Canadian's guy Mr Roseland, his Father Flight Lieutenant Arnold Roseland contribution and sacrifice is appreciated , he alongside many others were Hero's and they shall not be forgotten.

To the original Ron Rosland , owner, Ron Jnr , the rebuilders, Paul , the pilot Dave, thank you for this Spitfire. As a free Born British post WWII child my 4 sons have never had to go to war due to your father's and other's sacrifices. I salute you all.

This was a very long project...I visited the project a few times in the early years....really happy to see it finally in the air!

If an aircraft could be classified as sexy then the Spitfire is without equal. I loved the log entries and the history being retold too. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video

Cool to see a flight worthy spitfire thats a single seater, there was always something off about seeing those twin seater spitfires.

The Spitfire is an outstanding aircraft. There are some Mark's that I favor. The Mk IX is one of them. Then again, the Mk IX is liked by a majority of the Spitfire enthusiasts. The Mk V is another. The Mk XVIII is a beast.

Mk VIII is my personal favorite! :)
Early-mid war Marks are good, but Merlin 60 series and Griffon monsters took the lead and held it there against Bf 109 and Fw 190 variants for thr rest of the war.

This title is misleading. The video does not even mention of the 5000 mile trip.

Yeh I tuned in to hear what it's like to fly a Spitfire 5000 miles - like the chap who flew Berlin Express from the USA to the UK. What a trip that would have been!

@@avipatable There was a documentary years ago, "B25s do fly in IMC" which documented a group ferry flight. I was looking for something like that. I wonder if it's on here?

@@cageordie Argh I had a search and only found a 3 min teaser... the comments section say it was one of the best docs people had seen - so now I am intrigued! I'll keep my eye out for it. Thanks for letting me know.
