    In this video, we sharpen a Deli Slicer. They are very difficult to get right, but we take pride in going above and beyond for our customers!

    This is a good lessen not to buy a cheap deli slicer. For couple hundred bucks you can buy one with a sharpener built in

      @@hellosharpness2273 From what it looks like in the video, you put a beveled edge on the front side of the blade. Maybe this one was a rare unicorn or something, but most commercial slicer blades are single bevel. Front face is flat and the rear is beveled. You grind the rear bevel to sharpen and then run flat against the front of the blade to deburr/hone.
      If you look at the sharpener mechanisms on most commercial slicers, you'll see that when put in sharpening position, the rear stone is angled to grind the bevel and that the front stone is flat and is pulled flat against the front of the blade.

      Customer seemed very happy and the blade ended up sharp. Not sure what more you could want 😁
