I started with Clutch when Transnational Speedway League came out. I've bought every album thats come out since. The incredible guitar work along with the pounding beats and Neil's thunderous vocals make some of the best music in my generation! Thanks for all the great music over the years!
Yep..me too...just don't know how these bands nowadays survive..how much $ can u make off tickets n swag...its gota be tough...I recently went to see the reverend Horton heat...1 tech..1 bus driver..who also sells swag..and the band....and it was bad weather out that night..so no walk up ticket sales...don't knw how they do it...was buying jimbo beers after the show..cus he was broke..smh
First time I heard Clutch was back in 93 on 120 Minutes. I got that album (Transnational), seen them 5 times over the span the last 25 years, and can say I'm a fan.
Glad you never listened to those who were negative. Your music has brought me an inconceivable amount of enjoyment for the past 20+ years. Love you guys like family. Keep on earth rockin.
I'm extremely happy to state that I've, as of now, covered over 40 hours of listening to this band's material ever since discovering em last Monday evening. Music's so good, man. Rock on, Clutch.
Yea, I downloaded clutch albums....then I bought 4 tickets between myself and friends MULTIPLE times for multiple concerts. How else would people know how amazing CLUTCH is?!!
This dude must be good as a piece of bread to a homeless person. He's so humble and has that look in his eyes that transmits tranquility. Man, wish I can see this fella on stage some day... He doesn't act nor look like any other band leader; he's awesome.
Intaminator Yeah, I've seen some videos. In one of those, I saw him kick out a girl puncher... Wish they come here to Argentina some day. I've heard they have a cover of Pappo
Great interview. I've only heard a handful of Clutch songs, but this interview gives alot of hope to a musician and music lover like myself. Congrats on your success Neil, you guys have passion and in the end that's all that counts!
Cat aroni Agreed. I saw them in '98 and then again earlier this year. They were great both times although they only played about 45 min the first time although they were headlining. The second show they played a full set and The Sword opened for them! Good times.
I downloaded their stuff, and now I am increasing my Clutch album collection. Their albums are pure art, and not just the music. They are worth every cent! Besides, they are re-issuing some of them in their own label, which probably means they make more out of each one they sell.
He should just start this interview by saying: "My name is Neil Fallon, and I am awesome." But he's too humble to be so self aggrandising. I love Clutch. So much so that I have "Pure Rock Fury" tattooed on my arm.My girlfriend hates it. Oh well.
Clutch is a perfect name for a band. I t encompasses the truth of the social experiment of our Nation. A GYDRAULIC CLUTCH IS MADE OT TWO PARTS. THE MASTER CYLINDER AND THE SLAVE CYLINSER. AND THE PEDAL DEPEESSER . TO ENGAGE THE GEAR.MINDFULL LYRICA AND YOUR BAND IA ALL REAL TEUE HEART AND SOUL OF ROCK AND ROLL. EXCELLENT JOB FELLAS.
Everybody, everybody keeps tellin' me, "Neil, you got to quit your low down ways." So I ask them if they have the solution, And they just shake their heads and slowly walk away.
Dude that beard is just fucking killer. Fucking awesome show in Grand Rapids. Happy to say I'm a fan, bummed though that it took me so long to figure out about them XD
Godamn! Best Neil Fallon interview I've seen yet. A lot of musicians take themselves way too seriously....Neil isn't one of them.
