Stitching into equirectangular works too, just enable this option in settings. But my laptop is too slow for real-time stitching and video re-encoding.

Follow-up question:
Can OBS extract a square frame of the 360 video? Say for example you’re doing a Q&A across from another person; can you make a square focus on yourself, and another on your companion?

I have the X3, it works, but 5.7k doesn't seems to be available and 4k resolution is ultra laggy and slow, plus many screen color issues....
Yet, I managed to perform 360 live stream using OBS with the things I wanted to test and it sucked but worked.... maybe too early stages, but the image quality is really bad on the youtube side....
The 4k direct streaming is OKish, but not 360... Maybe that tool of direct RTMP stream could be used as 360 as well...
In any case the tool is the only one that actually works, so thanks for it....

That was great. I was able to capture insta 360x2 in obs-web rtc , used it to stream realtime 360 video over internet with latency
How exactly do you want to use WebRTC? Directly into browser or using a server?

Hi, I was trying this. I have 29.1.3 (latest) of OBSViewer, followed all your instructions, but the Gstream plugin doesn't show up, no errors. Any help? Thanks!
I had the same issue, dont know how nor why, after restarting OBS a couple of times the plugin source to add showed up....
@@marcelovilacasoares i face the same too. I tried to change the gstream installed to mingw version and it works. Bcs when i try to run on msvc version of gstream it was error. And now it wants to appear on my OBS
You think this will work on X3?
I have no X3, so i can't test. If you have it - try to connect, but ensure that encoding is set to H264 in X3 settings.
I bought X3 right now. It works on Cosmostreamer on Raspberry PI, but not directly in CosmoViewerNG. I will fix it, but i think it will be payed (not a big value but monthly). I want to recoup the cost of the cameras ;-)
I uploaded new update, X3 now working. And 5.7k video now available for X3.
