- Jurassic Park 7 or Jurassic World 4 as it’s now known had a Parasaurolophus prop seen on set and there’s also a lot of other cool news surrounding the movie being filmed in Thailand. Dinosaurs fan favorites are probably going to be making a comeback like Velociraptor and T.rex I’d imagine but with this news I think the film could also be a step up from recent entries.

OK, but Jeff Goldblum giving his blessing to Scarlett Johansson for the upcoming movie is one of the most wholesome Jurassic things I've seen in a while. Despite the long odds, I hope this isn't the end entirely for Ian, Alan and Ellie; I believe singular-scene moments in the spotline can do a lot to bid them adieu from the franchise.
You really want them to roll in on wheelchairs....don't ya. let em get eaten that would be a change up.
We love those original characters but we have to let go.
If this is set after Dominion, then maybe the InGen logo on that tank is probably an unknown InGen property that the main characters will probably discover later on in the film.
Somehow John Hammond set up a secret defense force.
Its probably Isla Sorna because we see the ruins in Trespasser and some things from that are soft canon
I know it's got it's issues, but I still love Fallen Kingdom, and it's my favourite of the World trilogy. And it was the only movie from that trilogy that treated T.Rex with respect and didn't make her a pushover.
It's also my favorite one! I really like Bayona's work😊

When he made Godzilla 2014, people comaplained about how dark and serious the tone of the movie was. Guess they wanted the colour palette monster clashes of GVK movies today. But GE has a knack for making serious and ominous movies. Exactly the paradigm shift the JW franchise needs right now. That combined with the tropical foggy backdrop really does give me high hopes.
I agree, fog and a dense jungle always will scream Dinosaurs to me. Or Silent Hill lol.
And rain! A dark rainy night always feels Jurassic to me. Another thing the World movies were lacking in

Fog and dense jungle is exactly how Michael Crichton described Isla Nublar in the novel. There was mist everywhere and volcanic areas.
The river is making me think the spino is coming back and if it does… I’m automatically giving this movie a 10/10, it’s about time this franchise is redeemed.

JW Dominion started off really great, exactly like how it was hyped pre-release but then quickly spiralled into a very unrealistic mockery with weird/impossible scenes and giving away the lead role to fkn grasshoppers
Honestly, the only thing about this film I don't trust is the production time/ theatrical date. It's got a good director, a good writer, and a hell of a cast, but that all means nothing if the finished project is a rushed mess. I'd rather wait later for a good movie than see a half-baked movie now.
I have a theory ! What if the movie takes place in the unfinished ruins of Jurassic park Japan that was abandoned after the 1993 incident. This would explain the Thailand filming location, and the old Ingen equipment. The cast could face the surviving dinosaurs on the island.
Wow, that's so great of you Klayton to realize that about Fallen Kingdom. I saw we bring back Bayona with a good script! He's a master behind the camera.
Sadly, I don't think he'd risk it. Fallen Kingdom's reception plus him getting stuck on directing Rings of Power's first two episodes probably did a number on his confidence in Hollywood (who can blame him?). He's done with with last year's Society of the Snow, so he might stay in Spain directing films there.

T Rex is a give. Raptors too. But it would be awesome to see Spino again. I miss the little guy

I'm just praying that the new film/any potential sequels are good, and bring the franchise back. I personally would love to see Deinosuchus or Sarcosuchus make an appearance in this new film/potential sequels, and maybe have a giant crocodile vs Spino or T-rex battle.
Personally hoping for Purussaurus. Its basically a Deinosuchus only more……..unique in terms of skull shape.
I'd like to see a dunkleosteus in a water scene, they look gnarly, like they could bite almost anything in half.

The4thsnake did a really good video about how franchises go through phases. I feel like Jurassic is going through that. JP1 and Lost World are the original era, the one that many consider the best. JP3 is the second era, where the filmmakers tried to shakes up to a very mixed reception. And finally, the World films are the third era, where they try to recapture what made the originals so good, again to a mixed reception. Hopefully JP7 will brings a 4th era where it’s good again.
I'm hoping that they'll somehow give the Spino from JP 3 a tribute in this movie.
I will say Dr. Malcolm is my favorite character and I really hope he shows up again.

I'd like to see the giga get a better moment. That animal deserved more than what dominion gave it.
One thing I feel JP7 should really do is bringing back the Jurassic Park name to the franchise, even if the plot doesn't take place in an actual dinosaur-themed park. Just name it "[Insert title]: Jurassic Park" much like The Lost World did back in the day.
Another thing that should be improved is human deaths. Ever since JP3 they have lacked any significant impact, hitting rock bottom in Dominion, where they were zero stakes. Instead of killing off the typical secondary characters with little screen time that everyone knows won't survive and the main villains, bring back the suspense and uncertainty element. More Robert Muldoons and more Eddie Carrs, please.

Parasaurolophus keeping that movie streak up!! So far it's one of the few dinosaurs to have appeared in every film alongside the T-Rex, Velociraptor and the Triceratops!!

I just don't know man, what to expect from this upcoming movie. Yes, if it was clearly said that it would be called Jurassic Park 4, then they would have my full attention, but ... When I hear Jurassic World 4 or just Jurassic Park 7 and I also see 'NEW ERA' written everywhere, then I really don't have any expectation. With the Jurassic World era (hit parade of cartoon CGI dinosaurs instead of good old and even scary puppets, hybrids, dinos as weapons, auctions, and all this stuff...) this whole JP universe went completely wrong. It's even worse when I know that it's probably supposed to be after Dominion, because now when there are dinosaurs all over the world, it's just never going to give that right 'JP feeling' like when they were only on one of the islands (yes of course The Lost World: Jurassic Park is my favorite so it was great to see a T-Rex rampaging through the city streets, but in the long term the dinosaurs on mainland don't have the right effect). There are a lot of blind spots from the history of Ingen and Jurassic Park/World itself that could be filled right in some new movie, but they rather prefer to keep moving forward even though they see that it is getting worse.
I miss Isla Sorna adventure. 😩

So far the movie's looking so good. I'm confident in David Koepps screenwriting talents and I believe in the hype that both he, and Spielberg are bringing to this script. Heck, I don't even mind Skarlett Johanson in the film, apparently she's a big fan, although I never seen or heard of the other cast members in their films before. The only thing that concerns me is the rushed production.
There were brilliant ideas behind making Trespasser, but that game ended up being kind of a flop. JP3 was rushed too and, well... look how that movie ended up.
So yeah, I'm hopeful. I think they can pull in a win for JP7, but I'm cautiosly going to be optimistic for now... oh and the T-rex can't be a pushover neither, lol.
Great video going over this information on Jurassic 7 I got a feeling with that Parasaurolophus prop I think it all but confirms they are gonna use animatronics in this film that's a plus for me still gonna be cautiously optimistic about the new film.
Hey Klayton! Just finished reading the novel and I’m about to finish The Lost World too. I’ve had a blast reading them and catching all the dialogue and parts that were used in Jurassic films. Even after the last Jurassic film, I’m very excited for this new film

I will repeat what iv said before. The World trilogy should be dropped, the series should go back and permanently stay in, the 90s. There are tons of stories you can tell as we've seen from official works like Trespasser, Telltales Jurassic Park, and the new video game Survival. To fan works, such as the Queen Ann sinking and its survivors washing up on Sorna, to the last days of Sorna and its evacuation and the secrets buried there.
Let us be honest with ourselves, if youre a JP fan, you know, that the series peaked with JP1 and Lost World. 3 was considered the black sheep, and while many of us enjoyed the 1st world because we desperately wanted to see Jurassic Park as a concept actually work. But looking back, World was trite, empty, a monster of the week special, focusing on dinosaur fights, slasher movie villain dinosaurs, and ridiculous premises like Owen and his raptor pack. This only got worse with its 2 sequels. Jurassic Park belongs in the 90s, its aesthetic, its heart and soul, was born there, and should stay there.
The problem is, Hollywood are too arrogant to see the failure of their films as being due to bad writing. They also lack the creativity to fix that. So they tend to just go back to repeating what worked years ago. I fear that's what we'll see with JP7. A rehash of what we've seen multiple times before already.
The diversity in dinosaur species is incredible. Did you know there were dinosaurs as small as chickens and as large as buildings?

The more I think about it, the more cool I think those rumored jungle ruins might be. I look forward to that in the new movie. I'm actually optimistic about this. It feels like this movie is going to be smaller and more personal in scope as opposed to the large spectacle that was the World trilogy and I think that might be a good thing. I wouldn't mind if this turned into its own kind of trilogy.
The released parasaurolophus picture might also suggest it's a "prequel" for dominion, explaining somehow how and where (or possibly why) the new para versions were created
I agree, the new film needs to have a more grounded feel and lean into more of the sci-fi thriller/ "horror" aspect of the very first film. It needs a new dinosaur 'villain" that isn't just a plot device and one that really poses a huge threat. Stakes should be high and their should be unexpected casualties. We shouldn't go into it knowing this particular character would never get eaten.
Speaking of Ian Malcom, I thought he was done dirty in Dominion. He felt like a parody of himself, with Goldblum seeing there was essentially nothing to do in the script so he just hammed it up. Very hard to believe this was the same character after The Lost World.

He felt too much like Jeff and not enough like Ian. The Gamingbeaver made a good point in his review in that Ian was literally speaking with fans and signing his books outside of the Biosyn sanctuary, which is something Ian in-universe wouldn’t do at this point, but Jeff would totally do. We saw what fame did to Ian in TLW and I don’t think he’d all of a sudden turn into this charismatic public figure
Grant got the worst of it, Alan was literally given nothing to do in the plot other than being Ellie's traveling partner.
@@Orion-Pax_34 Colin wrote him trying to make him like he was in Jurassic Park (or really the first half of Jurassic Park) because that’s the popular image of Ian. It was not at all consistent with the character. It was nothing but playing off of the modern Goldblum image.
@@Z-Man7 No kidding, Alan looked like a lost old man who followed Ellie around like a dog. Compare that to the Alan Grant who took two kids throughout Isla Nublar to safety and led a whole group on Sorna.

I think that all this information is very interesting and I think This new Movie could be good if they do it right.
I want all the dinosaurs to look like they did in the original film because that’s what I feel in love with, when my 5year old self saw the movie for the first time my mind was blown… real dinosaurs…. I had to be told all the time they weren’t real and I couldn’t have one… but nonetheless the images were burnt into my mind and over the years they have gotten less believable to me, yes maybe because I’m not a young child anymore but at the same time if you want fans to feel like there back at that special place in time, they need to look the same
