This reminded of a almost decade old point and click game that I would want to try to play: Broken age. Its a game with 2 playable characters. One is a teenage girl named Vella who is trying to kill a monster to stop the yearly sacrificial ritual her village holds to satisfy said monster. And a teenage boy that's in space trying to find a real mission since his overprotective computer "mom" is sending him repetitive "missions" on the ship. I think it's worth a look.
Oh my gosh professor Layton.. Just came from your other video and it totally seems your gonna be an amazing yter. Your description of the game and stuff is very easy to digest and keeps my attention very well. So so SO excited to see more from you.
Okay, I've been watching a few videos just mindlessly while working and I didn't actually check the channel and holy crap. How does this not have a ton of subscribers?
This holds a special place in the hearts of me and my nephew. I got it, played it, and showed it to him and he fell in love with the game just like I did. He was struggling to beat the final boss section and was getting frustrated. He wanted me to help him do it but I was adamant in making him beat it. A few tries later, he beat it and boy howdy I'd never seen him so proud of himself. From then on he was more confident in himself when it came to games and has been doing great. He even loves dead cells and hades! Thanks to me of course.
God this video is so damn funny like that bit calling the authorities is one of my new favorite things Like your editing style, humor, and art are like peak big brain Also Bulb Boy reminds me kinda of The Binding of Isaac which considering the humor makes a lot of sense . _.
Thank god, a creator who gives us fun and thoughtful analysis of various games. Definitely going to watch these instead of doing my actual game design research 💚💚💚 Lifesaver
A little late, but I've been dying for somebody to talk about this game for decades.. this was a real good watch, all the points were pretty good! I didn't know that there were glitches littered around the game, but those were pretty funny to see. Not sure if I should be lucky or not to not have gotten them through the two times I've beat the game. The grandpa sequence was definitely something I agreed on hands down. Sorry if this is just a hazy little thing I remember (since it's been like two years since I've played it lol), but it does get a little tedious if you take a little long while moving him, because the man thinks it's a swell idea to begin to take a nap while moving. It makes movement a little long and it drags it out if you don't figure out how to do things properly in a minute at best. The coloring choice is also a little too bright at parts (like the part where the boat catches a leak, honestly, I couldn't tell at first either and it took me a few seconds to process it), but it's still fun to play and it's a short game you can enjoy whenever you're bored. It's more puzzle than horror, but it does do a good job at making things a little spooky with cool design when they need to be. Anyway irrgg sorry for this being wordy I have never been able to see anybody talk abt this game until now, take my sub you're really underrated
there are games that i'll probably never play, either due to certain aspects i dislike that overshadow the appeal of the game (like with off), or simply being unable or unwilling to purchase them (like with bulb boy), but i still like hearing about them and their plots. your smooth voice and dry humor makes that even more enjoyable, and i particularly like the way you speak about the games - the way you refer to the characters by their names instead of as 'the player' or 'you' makes it feel less like i'm listening to someone speak about a game i haven't played and more like i'm listening to a friend tell me a story. i'm glad your channel has grown so quickly, and i hope it keeps on going :)
Very glad I found this channel. All the videos I've checked out so far have been bangers and I've got the rest cued up lmao. Wishing you success in the future!
hey ben ! I see that you like point and click horror , so i wanted to suggest you a game . Its called happy game , its a psychological point and click horror game , the game is about a little boy that goes thrue nightmares ? Im not sure if they are nightmares , i haven't seen any lore videos obout the game , but i find this game nice , its the newest game by the amanita studios , i beated it in 1 and a half hours . Hope you enjoy it !
Point & Click games are some of my favorite games ever! Some games that I love that come to mind are game series like Submachine and Deep Sleep. I'm definitely subscribing! Also, I love the inclusion of music from Ghost Trick. A lovely game that I can't wait for the remaster of
what a good video to watch directly before bed, there won’t be any side effects at all edit: I hear and see something directly outside my window and I live on the third floor please help
The first flash back in bulb boy where you play catch with the dog is supposed to be a memory of them teaching the dog to fly. The first two times bulb boy throws the ball, the dog fails to fly. The final time, he ignores the ball cuz he realizes he can fly now
Holy shit please cover 999 I’ve never seen anyone else even acknowledge it’s existence until you. I swear I thought that game was just just a fever dream at one point
My guy, your video quality is stellar. So entertaining and interesting and well thought out. I give it a few months before you fully blow up on the platform. Keep at it 🖤 you're killing it
I commented another video of yours mentioning the music of hotel dusk. I thought nobody played that game but me and few other but I'm so happy it's getting some acknowledgement which I didn't know about, both in smash and your videos
Fellow Professor Layton fan! Are you excited for the new game that was announced? Looked at this video after seeing your video on Introvert, and enjoyed hearing your playthrough and critique, especially seeing how you waited to finish the game review to give the overall thoughts, nice job :]
I only knew about this game from seeing an old promotional piece of art where both this game and They Breathe were on sale. Didn’t expect to see a video on it so soon after that!
Yo! Ben! LOVE your vids! Your vid on the Introvert Simulator is what brought me and your video on the Crooked man is what captured me (because of your love of the game). You are great, your presence is great, and video structure is amazing! Don’t want to be a kiss ass (as I’m not used to praising) but, damn, keep it up! 🎉 (P.s. I have never subbed to a channel as fast as i did than to yours
This is an old video by now but if you enjoy a bit of light horror and random weirdenings, i highly recommend the Rusty Lake/Cube Escape series. Its one of my favourites, probably my all time favourite game series and a new release for it came out just this year. Give it a try if you wish, Id love to see more people cover it.
just discovered your channel today but this game gives me chutchel and happy game vibes (funnily enough two games produced by a different creator)... like somewhere in the middle of those weird fever dream games.
You need to do a diatribe on Zero Escape! Even just the first one is fine. I love those games with my heart and soul and I’d love to hear your thoughts on them.
If you like point and click puzzle games try the rusty lake / cube escape series, there's about 16 games in the series with one overarching story about reincarnation and a family caught up in it, each game is set up like an escape room you find things to use on other things but the solution isn't always obvious, for example one of the solutions to a puzzle in cube escape theatre is making a drink for someone at a bar so they shoot themselves and you can enter the bullet hole to find some white cubes, it's an intriguing game series and I think you'd enjoy it
Idk if you’ll see this comment but I’ve watched a few of your vids and have absolutely loved them. I’ve already subbed and can’t wait for more content!!
A game I played a lot when I was younger was a thing called 'Keepsake' (by wicked studios). It's a puzzle game that can get tough to solve the further you go, but you can pass the puzzles and even if you don't like them (like I did when I was a kid - to this day, I'm only able to solve the first half of the puzzles), the graphics and story make up for that with a gorgeous gothic cathedral-like environment and a plot about loss/grief. Not a horror game by far, but worth checking out
the best point and click horror we've played has gotta be the Deep Sleep series by Scriptwelder. they're flash games but you should be able to find ways to play them!
I nearly exploded when I saw professor Layton. I completely forgot about its name, I plsyed it only a few times but Iv been searching for years to find out what that game was considering it's such a vibrant memory of my early childhood
ooh if you like point and click i can definitely recommend the Meridian 157 trilogy (+ prologue)!!! theyre cheap and took me, as an adult with responsibilities about 3 days to complete, playing when i had time
This game reminds me of two other point-and-click games with surreal themes, being Chuchel and Happy Game. These are two games made by the same people, and the latter is actually a horror game as well! I'd like to see reviews on them at some point.
I remembered I had a phase of loving this game for some reason and I was genuinely sad Markiplier played the demo and never touched it again. This was a nice surprise!
A lot of game yters did that back then, didn't they? I remember numerous different ones playing a demo or starting a new game and then just never talking about it again. Like that Home Sweet Home horror game
9:24 This is an actual fish, by the way. Not even stylized, really. Ignoring the color since _everything_ is green, that is pretty much exactly what it looks like.
I'm super late to this video but I now feel compelled to recommend Fran Bow and Little Misfortune. Two of my favorite point and click horror games of all time.
Excuse. Do you have a discord server? I'd love to join. Your content is really good and you really do deserve more subs. Your analytical way of narrating games is great.
This does seem like one of those game story don't play unless given for free. I remember when the demo came out and people were hyped then it all died out and I never knew when it released

Ohhh it's been so long since i last saw that, i forgot about it for a bit. Yeah its very cool! The plot twist was awesome
I remember trying to beat that one and never getting past that one wire puzzle
Oh I love that one so much

Thank you so much, that means a lot!! :)
Okay, I've been watching a few videos just mindlessly while working and I didn't actually check the channel and holy crap. How does this not have a ton of subscribers?
Holy shit I haven’t seen that escape room in the beginning in so long. Nostalgia just hit me like a truck

I. Am. SO happy that you reminded me of this! See, I’ve been trying to remember what this game was called for so long now!
Man I just binged almost all your videos, you're so good! I hope you'll get more recognition as time goes on :))))
another banger.. this guy does NOT miss
Dang, I just finished binging all of your vidoes. They are very good, looking forward to more!

Point and click horror is such a good genre. I'd highly recommend checking out the Endacopia demo!
Very good video. I really like this game. There is currently a sequel in the works and I hope you will cover it when it is released.
what a good video to watch directly before bed, there won’t be any side effects at all
edit: I hear and see something directly outside my window and I live on the third floor

You have no clue how long I’ve had vague memories of this game and was looking for it, thank you
Wow I found a small great creator early, You've earned a Sub with your stuff so far.
“Uh oh! Looks like grandpa’s hurt! Or asleep-it’s kind of hard to tell with him.”
You have quickly become my next favorite creator! I’m excited to see you grow Ben! 🤩🤩🤩
The first flash back in bulb boy where you play catch with the dog is supposed to be a memory of them teaching the dog to fly. The first two times bulb boy throws the ball, the dog fails to fly. The final time, he ignores the ball cuz he realizes he can fly now
OMG I REMEMBER WATCHING ONE OF MY FAVORITE RUclipsRS PLAYING THIS BACK IN THE DAY
7:24 look in the background & you might hear a faint “peezzaaaaaa”
Since you said that you really like point and click games, i really recomand "the blind prophet"
I would love to see your live commentary on games! Btw your videos are super poggers :D
The Ghost Trick music for what you considered the best level was such a good touch!
4:38 I genuinely thought you were gonna segway into a BetterHelp ad
Holy shit please cover 999 I’ve never seen anyone else even acknowledge it’s existence until you. I swear I thought that game was just just a fever dream at one point
omg I knew I recognized the music but I couldn't place it at first. thanks for unlocking that memory. Hotel Dusk was great.
My guy, your video quality is stellar. So entertaining and interesting and well thought out. I give it a few months before you fully blow up on the platform. Keep at it 🖤 you're killing it
Maybe the gross out 'humor' was really just something like the binding of isaac? Aiming to unsettle the player instead of it being funny
I commented another video of yours mentioning the music of hotel dusk. I thought nobody played that game but me and few other but I'm so happy it's getting some acknowledgement which I didn't know about, both in smash and your videos
I love how the final fight is literally just poking something in the eye and avoiding getting spit in your mouth
There is a subliminal message in the auto-generated subtitles. 12:49 At here it interprets "Bulb boy" as "Evil boy" which is just peak comedy
9:40 In this flashback, Bulb Boy is playing with He-Man toys
Bro I was subscribed when there were only four hundred subs (forgot this part) and you’ve gained like 17k subs good job!

finally some recognition for this game barely any channels cover it
i cannot believe there was no comment on how the grandpas head is, seemingly, a bong.
He just went swimming and now he glows
This is an old video by now but if you enjoy a bit of light horror and random weirdenings, i highly recommend the Rusty Lake/Cube Escape series. 1st video of yours I've seen really like the channel so far! 😁
Oh man
I have binged most of your videos dude
Amazing stuff, I esp loved how you looked at a horror rpg like The Crooked Man!
love your channel, keep on keeping on!!

This game has a LOT of references
you should play Antumbra if you get a chance (if you haven't seen it). i really enjoy your videos, and i can't wait to see your channel grow!
You are my new favorite accidental discovery
Your commentary is as sarcastic and steady-toned as this game is absurd haha
This reminds me of the tally hall turn the lights off music video
There’s an underrated horror series called Cursed. It’s point and click and has a lot of easter eggs to find. It would be perfect to review
the best point and click horror we've played has gotta be the Deep Sleep series by Scriptwelder. they're flash games but you should be able to find ways to play them!

You should take a look at the unfinished swan.
I have a feeling It's inspired by The Binding of Isaac. feces? guts? gore? a terrified child? it checks out.
Its okay Ben, atleast a few hundred thousands of people probably called the police on this bulb boi.
I bought it a few years ago for 50 cents (not from steam) and i loved it
