Spent my university days there(USJ-R) Witnessed first hand how devoted the Cebuanos with Sto Niño. Never fail to visit Cebu everytime I go on vacation and pay homage to the Shrine. Thank you Cebu for the wonderful experiences. The most dedicated and loyal friends, superb education , the fun loving people, the beaches, the food but I got stomach ache when I eat puso' hahahahaha. Also as Ilonggo i got.scared of how they talk. Its like theyre always in a fight but learned to tolerate and now im talking fast too. Thank you for the spirituality, I feel in love with the black Sto Niño too. Have the privileged to be inside the chamber and saw the capes from 16th century before the Church was on fire and after. Capes adorned with real pearls. Some are like the size of the thumb already. Thank-you to the Agustinian Recollect fathers who dutifully protected the blessed statue and put on display both the plastic toys and. The expensive jewelries and the kind. Thank you Cebu. Hahaha Too boring ang vibe ng Kaamulan. Kasi if you will observe, they'll really stick to their dance steps, costumes and Music. It gives a boring vibe in the long run.. (Sa sinulog, we can go crazy with the dancesteps and all).
And also. Sinabi mo pinakamaganda. Bakit di gaano karaming turista ang pumupunta compare to cebu. If icocompare mo ang crowd.
Sinulog is the Grandest and Biggest of all the festivals around the Philippines.

Sinulog is the biggest cultural festival in the Philippines in that it holds 3 separate parades and competitions for the contingents: Sinulog sa Dakbayan (for Cebu City school-based contingents), Sinulog sa Lalawigan (Cebu Province towns and cities excluding Cebu City) and Sinulog Grand Parade (top 3 winners of Sinulog sa Dakbayan and Lalawigan plus all other contingents including non-Cebu based contingents). This video is Sinulog sa Dakbayan or Sinulog sa Kabataan which is held on Saturday. Sinulog sa Lalawigan is held on Sunday, a week before the Sinulog Grand Parade on the following Sunday.

@@florandomanuyagalomiajr.3975 Usually, the Grand Sinulog Parade on the fiesta day itself as there will be more contingents including out-of-town contingents plus the top 5 winners of each of the Sinulog sa Dakbayan and Sinulog sa Lalawigan. The creme dela creme, so to speak, of the Sinulog spectacle will showcase their best as they vie for pride and money of P2 million as grand champion plus other minor awards.

sa wala ka gets mosaway sa sinulog kay idolatry, unsaon man gyud nga ang mga talents in a form of choreography, dance prayer, artistic expression, etc. etc. gihalad man si Ginoo, lainon sabot sa laing relihiyon. Dance prayer for example is incorporated in Sinulog, lain lain man ta pamaagi pag praise sa Ginoo, maybe thru singing, dancing, silent prayer, open prayer, meditation, or the Sinulog dance and chanting. This event is a week before the grand parade. Contest for Cebu barangays only this😊
It's more chaotic in lesser-known and smaller parades like Dinagyang, Kadayawan, Maskara, etc. Take note, this one only shows the 16 school-based contingents from Cebu City. If you noticed, each group contingent has lots of dancers/members (no less than 100). In the following day (Sunday) another 16 groups/contingents from all over Cebu (excluding Cebu City) would take their turn to showcase their performance. And in the following Sunday (week later), the biggest and most extravagant mother of all cultural festivals in the Philippines will take place.
