I just got my z4 a couple of months ago 😁 I'm getting my steering wheel redone at royal steering wheels waiting for it to be completed 🙂. I also ordered the blu bus for the stock radio unit
Thanks for making this video. This is probably an example of the best use of the E86 3,0Si: breakfast runs to the other side of the Green Mountains or Black Forrest. A car described as a “Pocket GT” Warming or Bangle said…. The intake sound tube linking intake to cowl to provide the ‘real’ generated intake noise has two foam ‘plugs’. I removed the engine-side foam piece on my E86, and this allows more high rpm roar without annoyance with both plugs removed. As this video shows, the interior sound above 4600 rpm is truly fabulous on the E86. Just make sure that tube is well sealed after one makes this mod. Not many US 3,0Si E86 had the M steering wheel. It was not part of the sport package with the M seats & suspension…
I'd love to add an aftermarket head unit to mine, but I have the top level audio system which makes it very difficult. The head unit in mine is "dumb" with all the brains in the amp in the trunk, connected by fiber optic cable. Ill settle for a CarPlay/Android Auto screen via AUX.
For information With the back box delete You do lose a little low end torque I'm probably going to get my oem box put back in its place. I miss the snappy pep vs the growl.

I just got back box delete.. it sounds great . You lose 22lbs of weight and just a touch of low end torque. I kept my muffler just in case the new sound gets old
Mine is completly stock. I love the intake sound comes from generator. Before exhaust i want to change the wheels. May be e46 csl wheels. My ig account is @car4track by the way.
@@zombeloffical it has a pipe from the air intake to the cabin so you can hear the induction noise better. So while it's not generating the noise artificially, it is piped into the cabin to make it louder.
@@zombeloffical While it is not an artificial or electronic sound generator, the part is officially called a sound generator. It is a membrane like device that is attached to the intake manifold and outputs through a pipe directly into the cabin.

Not sure but I think its the german version of the aluminium dash
