You know when the lighting strikes its a reference to the 1988 version of it because it signals the birth of chucky from a nice doll to a murderous killing machine
Fun fact: The part where he falls into the car may be a reference to the first Child's Play movie.

I liked that they didn't just try and remake the first one but rather have a different premise. While not my favorite child's play, it's still more entertaining than child's play 3 and Seed
3 was great. You mean bride and seed. Bride is tolerable seed was just horrendous. 3 actually had a good premise and opened up more to the story of Chucky seeking out a new body each time he's resurrected and turned the franchise away from just Andy.

Sure the worker was slacking but you do not encourage employees to do better by slapping them, verbally abusing them then firing them! Reward them and pay them fairly and give them comfortable working conditions.

This scene of the factory makes me so sad for the people with no respect. As for the man who hacked into the Chucky doll to be a killer.

The litghing outside of the factory is a nice nod to the original series
Basically, this Chucky is a robot with a rogue artificial intelligence. He's like Ultron from the Marvel Universe, Skynet from the Terminator, and Sigma from Megaman X.

Yeah it looks excellent but I woulda liked it better in a different movie under a different title with the same doll but different name. The original Chucky was badass with a ferocious looking face this Chucky looked a bit more like Pinocchio

In order to get that "too human" look without the voodoo they had to make Buddi look gross and weird in the get go. But that defeats the point as 1. Why would a zoomer want that in their home and 2. The good guys are iconic because of their universal cuteness.

Although, Klevberg planned to make a sequel out of this, but it was cancelled due of box office failed.

It's such a shame that ORION PICTURES. Is not the same group that brought us this movie. Thats why we didnt get a sequel. Now ORION with a new team and group and president of alana mayor are now focusing on diversity movies. From what I researched. All there movies that they did with the new group have all FLOPPED. While CHILDS PLAY made 45 Million!!!!!

1. yes they did change his name to buddy. you can tell because this is what people call him and no this has nothing to do with chuck e cheese. there is no evidence to suggest this is why they changed his name.

Why would you have those in a toy ?! And why are they so easy to remove. That’s a big problem I have with this movie I never saw it but from the clips I did see I wasn’t scared (I actually was little) just annoyed and confused by the logic and questions I had from the movie that they don’t explain and This just my opinion Mark Hamil has done better roles than this.

I only watched this movie because Mark Hamill did the voice. Other than that, the reboot was garbage.
