I believe that's the trannies (ATES192) in the early germanium Schaller Fuzz units.
The earliest had Siemens AC-151's, I managed to score some originals in the correct range and sent them to Brandon who's building me one right now.
His attention to detail is something else!.
Great sounding units, he knows these circuits inside out.

Sounds fuckin' killer. Only thing that'd make it even more killer-er would be that pigdog pick and the way it dances across them strings.

Have you tried the original Maestro Fuzz Tone circuits (FZ-1/FZ-1A)? Those are probably my favorite, but i haven't played one in person. The originals had a cable connected to the pedal, that you would plug in the guitar. That would have been inconvenient.

I have not but I've been meaning to. I haven't been buying and selling pedals as much lately! I have a Rush Pepbox that's the same configuration with the output cable built into the pedal

@@fuzzz5008 I hear ya. Very cool that the Pepbox is similar. I don't like the idea of cable built into pedal, but if it sounds acceptable in the chain, it's good. I like a buffer after the fuzz or at least last in chain.
