Only time im at piece of mind in this modern world is listening or watching old cars like this in the mountains would have loved the sounds and more natural scenery everywhere I’m only 21 I wasn’t around for it but swear I feel more in tune with what we know about the early 1900s one day I’ll have a vintage town I hope I’ll build it myself if I have to . I just hope I can find some young and elderly people that would take part in basically recreating history into a fully functioning community but as soon as you enter the community area/town strictly only things of that era and back. that was long winded lol thanks for reading. Have any idea’s thoughts on the subject ?
That sir, is a magnificent restoration! As a 40 yr. Auto body and paint man....I know good. That truck surpasses that by a long shot. Bravo! (Nice video too) ✌😉
No wheellift, no PTO its all hand crank. Its pretty cool that particular Model T has a Ruxtall that's very rare. I'd hate to have done winch calls in the 20s though. A Model T with a Manley Wrecker. Thanks for sharing.
I've seen some great displays of work trucks hauling fruit, ice cream, hay bales, miscellaneous old junk on the beds but a tow truck with an actual old roadster takes the cake. Great job!
The Ruckstell rear end has two speeds and was an accessory. The three speed Warford transmission was also an accessory! That is where the 12 speeds come from. 2 (Ruckstell) x 3 (Warford) x 2 (Henry Ford) = 12
The extra gearing gives that heavy truck a little more power. In the video he said that this truck has 12 gears. Wouldn't it have seven? Two from the Ruckstell, two from the original transmission and three from the auxiliary. Just thought of it as I was watching it. That is a very nice truck and car.
How cool is that?? Is the lift PTO driven on these? Also, with just the lift chain, how do you keep the towed vehicle from running into the back of the truck?
Easy! The standard model t had two speeds. There were many aftermarket equipment that could be added to the model t. To this truck was added a Ruckstell two speed rear end and a Warford three speed transmissionl. 2x3x2=12 OK?

I was hoping he would show us how it works, too bad 😢
What would you like to know?
Wow is that sharp
How cool is that?? Is the lift PTO driven on these? Also, with just the lift chain, how do you keep the towed vehicle from running into the back of the truck?
u.s.a damn i love it
Fabulous restoration! Is this the same engine that was used in the Model T passenger car?
did those two transmissions come with it or did you put them in
The two transmissions in the middle were accessories. The only factory one at least to my knowledge is the brake/gear lever to the left of the driver
Boyce cans!
Classic 1925 Model “TT” Ford tow truck.....
what kind of horn is that?
You can buy any tire for any year car.
See these and there are more vendors! Search for these!
universal tire
coker tire
what is the name of the oil water and gas cans??
Is this the TT model?
No, It is limited on its lifting capability to about 700 pounds!
how do you shift with 12 different speeds
Easy! The standard model t had two speeds. There were many aftermarket equipment that could be added to the model t. To this truck was added a Ruckstell two speed rear end and a Warford three speed transmissionl.
2x3x2=12 OK?
I forgot to add that the Ford two speed has a clutch to shift to neutral allowing you to shift either the ruckstell or warford.
