The Bestway Pool Surface Skimmer is a highly effective way of clearing debris from your above ground swimming pool. The surface skimmer simply hooks over the inside wall of your pool, near the suction inlet. Attach it to your filter pump (Fits the filter pump with 530 gal./h (2,006 L/h) flow rate and above) and watch as it starts to automatically gather debris. When the skimmer is full, it can be emptied for reuse. The adjustable mounting bracket allows it to be leveled with the surface of the water. it seems nobody knows that the grey bucket is supposed to go way below the water line, so that when teh water does get lower, it doesnt run dry. im trying to find a video that shows it fully stretched.. impossible.

Can you tell me what setting my filter should be on when connected to the skimmer?

My filter has no settings. I can only turn it on or off. And I have the skimmer connected to the choke hose. You probably have some complicated filter. Perhaps someone else reading the comments will be able to answer your question.

I have the bestway zandfilter pomp en this skimmer, but nothing happens..do i have to make yhe pomp empty from water first ?

On the contrary, the pump cannot run dry, it must be filled to the brim. Make sure you connect the skimmer to the suction hole in the pool and not the other way around. Let me know how you solved the problem.

What kind of filter pomp are you using? is it the original BestWay?

I think you should have a strong pump for this and not the one you get with the pool. With a net, I pick up in 3 minutes what a skimmer would take in an hour

And I don't walk with a net, I'm such a lazy person😜😉😅, I prefer skimmer and my pool water is clean. You catch with the net what the skimmer catches in an hour, that is, within 24 hours you have to spend 84 minutes washing out the dirt, while I drink a drink with an umbrella on the tare. 😁😎 And the standard pump from the set is enough for me for about 7 years, so I see no point in paying extra for a stronger one.
