What the club is doing with these open houses is excellent - I think they won an award for it? I'm loving everything they're doing and like all bluenoses I'm really interested to get some more detail on these sports quarter. Nick mentioned they are planning the 'blocks' in the master plan. Even that I find really interesting. There will be a mix of office/leisure and residential plus the stadium and training facilities. Exciting times!

    Very impressed with Amy.
    Unsure Tom said much.
Wish I could join for the sleepout but it's the Mrs birthday and I have already booked a trip away... Something tells me she won't want to replace it with rough sleeping 😂

@@NathanTraverss are you saying she'd rather choose to have a nice, fun birthday than have me and Pughy snoring in her face?! Priorities in the mud 😡

Agree with Mark it's a free time problem for me, only way it works if the women's match is on at 12.30pm before the mens kick off at 3pm. I'd definitely go to matches then 100% but don't know I that would even be possible or the pitch would hold up 🤷‍♂️
Will also add after seeing her on the open house, i also am in love with Amy 😂

@@webby-B9 yeah there's no malice in it at all, but it's the same reason I don't really keep up with the academy results either. Same with cricket. I LOVE cricket but haven't watched a full days play for a few years now. We need an extra day in the week to catch up... Call it Sportday!

Good pod once again! Re: Womens games, you don't raise attendances by looking to the same people that support the men's teams. They simply don't have the time, money or energy to do so if they're supporting the mens. You might get them going to one or maybe two games a season but that's not the route. It requires a new audience, target young women hard, offer free tickets or deals for Mom/daughter duos, all that kind of thing. Rome isn't built in a day, took the men's football 200 years to get to the point it is at today.

Put the women’s game on same day about eleven i would go I can’t afford or have enough free time to make two trips to Brum in a week. Advantage is I would get a parking spot easy and blues would have everything in place set up saving them outlay use wristbands so they know who has to vacate for the men’s game

@@pabloxavier1085 it's something Bristol Rovers have done in the past but I don't know if it's logistically possible to do week in, week out. I would assume there must be some operational reason why clubs don't do it because you'd think it would be a common occurrence otherwise

I can only think that if you weee in WSL and say arsenal or Man City turned up in decent numbers there presence wouldn’t be appreciated by home fans turning up for the men’s game at 3
