UO Outlands - Train Lockpicking and Remove Trap Script
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 9 июл 2024
- This is a video about how to setup a lockpicking and remove trap script for training skill from 0 all the way to 120 on UO Outlands. In this video we will cover how to use an organizer agent, how to check our current skill, how to use dclicktype or gumpresponse to use the training lockbox. I started playing outlands in January of 2021 but have seen a lot of people ask in Discord how to set this up - let me know in the comments if this was helpful or if you need anything else!

UO Outlands is a free-to-play Ultima Online shard loosely set in the T2A era which launched in October of 2018. Our mission from the onset has been to create a version of Ultima Online which enhances every aspect of gameplay, creating a shard which we believe emulates how Ultima Online should have always been had it stayed the course.

Thank you man !! helped a lot, but sadly I didnt watch the video as I just needed the script.. anyways I left the video without a sound until the end so youtube see I watched it all.. !!!
Glad it helped! thanks for watching :D
I couldn't make your script work (it always said no strongbox...) but I created a simple macro to make it work:
Double Click (lockpicks (14FD))
Wait for Target
Absolute Target
Pause 5.05sec
And it works like a charm :)
Thanks anyway Jaseowns, I love your scripting/scripts and explanations in video :)
This maybe changed with recent updates, thanks for your comment though!
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks for the comment
Nice one :) my dude always top knotch
Appreciate it!
Spot on man, gj, thx.
I made a script for Inscription. I found the waitforgump made it stall at times.
Replaced them with some pause 200 instead, made it never stall.
Less precise, can fail a loop, but will just start over, and I can sleep like a baby :P
Nice. Make sure to use gumpclose at the start of the scripts and it should resolve any of the waitforgump issues ;)
@@Jaseowns Yeah pretty sure I had it in there, not really sure why it happened tbh (was rare, but now and then when I checked it had stopped/paused) but in general the waitfor stuff can make some absurd pauses it seems, so opted to just replace them hehe.
Quick and easy! Thanks again for the script! Editing also improved looking nice!
Thanks! Trying to learn haha
Looks good I like to learn this stuff gonna have to have a lock picker trap remover alt auto training
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video! I don't think I've ever done this before, and it worked! Up until now, I've just been slowly levelling it up by picking dungeon chests for hours. It helped me learn a dungeon and a half or so though at least.
I know almost nothing about any of this stuff, and was wondering out of curiosity, if the spacing is required in some of the lines (for example, when instead of typing right at the beginning of a line, you tab/space in about halfway to a certain point). I wasn't sure if that made it behave a certain way, or if you just spaced it that way to make it easier for yourself when looking at it, to see what commands are going with the action that you're trying to do
Tabs and spacing is mostly just formatting and mainly to make things more readable. It’s nice to know when you’re inside an “if” statement so tabbing makes it easier to see.
Certain syntax is required in specific spots, but everything could be on the far left line if you like chaos. Haha thanks for watching!
I'd love to see a magery script Jase.
Sure! Thanks for suggestion
Me 2, would be nice

Hey Jason, how much do those wagons go for these days? Not on the water or anything else special. Thanks for your content, it has saved my bacon more times than I can count!
Not sure these days... but if you’re in the market don’t pay over 800 haha
Jason. How can i know what number the gumps are? is there any >info to check for that? Iam stuck at some variables like that. Thanks for the info btw
Trial and error on those.. basically you want to record and then remember what you're clicking 😀
Check out timestamp: 4:22 - Learn how to record gump
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Jason! Been wanting to train this up on an alt. What skill do you need to decipher a Tmap? About how many tools does it take to get from 50-100?
You know... I really need to keep track of these things - I get asked them a lot. I will be sure to try and compile a list next time for skill gains.
Cartography is needed for deciphering - that may be the next video!
Thanks for watching
I ran this script on the test server on the last day.. got to 100 skill on both using 51 trap tools (200 charges, GM) and 49 (200 charges, GM) lockpicks.
@@Jaseowns thanks Jason! I appreciate it!
A useful guide for sure, though as a newbie i struggled to find the strong box mentioned early on in the video, i searched the uo wiki and couldn't find anything relating to it, even searched for training boxes / training LP and nothing worked.
Granted if id been abit more sensible and checked the possible vendors i would of found it sooner, though figured as there's no mention here or on the wiki about how to source these, it might be a good thing to include at the start just to cater for the newer guys like myself? just you will need X item from Y etc?
All the best
G
Good suggestion -thanks. The lockbox can be purchased by the Provisioner !
I know this video is old but do we need to level remove traps still? I am macroing it and the script works but remove traps just wont go up
in skill
They just recently replaced remove trap and combined it with detect hidden. So no need to worry about that now
My lockpicking won’t train all the way to 120. Did something change? (I have enough points, and it’s set to increase)(also I have eaten all skill scrolls/balls)
it should continue to train... as long as you have max skills and balls and something pointing down if you are at 720 already.
great video any way you could look into making a tailoring or inscription guide to 120 ?
Crafting queues put a hamper on script side of this but yeah I would like to make a video covering a script as well as setting up the queue!

@@Jaseowns thanks for another great video
Nice, no more caravan.
Haha it’s movie magic
why not just make macro that click the two buttons? i made a macro in 10 sec. without script?
Trying to cover how scripts work with some examples, hopefully this inspires but you can definitely use a macro! :D
Too bad dungeon chests are worthless. 6th level gives you only 200 gold, couple of gem stones sometimes.
Seriously? That's equivalent to 16 logs at the current market value, and I make that in seconds with my GM lumberjack character.
Not to mention these chests take forever to respawn, there are not much of them on the map (good luck scoring 7-8 lvl chest), and you have to evade bunch of monsters to get to them. Not to mention it actually takes 240 skill points to reliably open them.
Trees are literally everywhere and safe to chop. 100 lumberjacking is all you need to earn tons of cash.
Oh well, at least lock picking/trap disarm are not expensive to train.
Yeah I haven't had much success with dungeon chests, but Tmaps are great I hear :)
Ok this script/Macro is just a waste of time..All you need to do is make a macro of you clicking the box used to train on. In the menu part just record you selecting pick lock then put a pause for 4 secs and select loop macro and you done. Fill up your bag with lock picks and trap removal kits and your done.
Trying to help people learn a bit more about scripting - sorry you didn’t enjoy! Maybe next time :)
