Being from Canada the 32kph limit is just right. I still do not understand why some countries force a 25kph limit?? It's not like you can climb any faster whether your bike has a 25 or 32kph limit on it, nor can you go any faster than a trail allows by it's design. It only really makes a difference on jump lines, fire roads or road. I just don't get it, especially when I can pedal an acoustic bike faster than a 32kph without anything holding me back... plus many emtbs 'add' pedaling resistance over the limiter which can make riding over the limiter just awkward and even dangerous.
Great review - covered all the stuff I was wondering about them. But that 25kph limit 😮 glad the NZ Spec ones are 32kph Def' be searching for one of those 'speed hack' things. Only real downside I think is the non-removable battery... Mayte has an e-Reign with a spare battery - stashes it in a backpack at the bottom of the hill when he's busting out laps. Be great to have that as option too.... but looks like the Fuel EX-e is the only light(er) weight option (but not the power of this)....
I'm not sure they have one for the Trance Elite yet, but check out the Planet3 e-bike derestriction device. Can easily be removed so you don't void your warranty should you need it.
18k, 1000m, and 1 hour. You're a machine, that's hard work even on an ebike. Im getting over throwing heavy ass bikes over fences and rails, especially at brownies where there's traffic. A light ebike would be sick, but long range is the trade off. Thanks man. Yep, 25km is a conspiracy!
Mind if i ask rider height and weight please. I'm a heavier rider so 400wh battery might be an issue but thinking I would mainly ride longer rides in Eco or L2.
Not the latest one but I have riddenI believe it was a 2020 model or around that year. Definitely not on this level. Their current model may be up there though
@@mtbtelly5522 u should review it. I felt it was the most fun e-bike I’ve ridden. Although the range on battery was terrible. Think with a range ext it’d be perfect.
Got the 2023 of this (think just the colours changed), such a fun bike, really hits the sweet spot for me in terms of power and weight 🤘
Also the motor casing and the wheel set changed for 24
@@chrishurley5711 Think the forks have changed too

You should try out the Reign E. Ive got a 2023 with a deluxe ult coil and 38 factory and its great.
Is the 2023 similar weight and build spec I'm looking for around 40lbs
no its around 50lbs. Its a solid unit and has a bigger battery.@@shanehaws8303
Yeah 170mm is madness. Even my new Marin has 160mm cranks stock
You have 2 choices. Derestrict or Bafang.
The 25kmph limit is to discourage people from seriously using e-bikes for commuting.
This Motor Trades association is behind keeping this limit.

Have u test ridden the Levo sl?

@@YLDCRD it seems quite low on power still at 50nm, is that correct?
@@mtbtelly5522 yep. Very small. Would be keen to hear thoughts between the two.
nice bike.. even for a Cheater bike.
