Hello from Portugal, i have a couple (1 male and 1 female) of Stizoptera bichenoii, with all black tail. I bought them from a Portuguese breeder who bred them in captivity.

I have 2 owl finches (had 3 😢) they are such sweet little birds. But be warned, because they are soooo incredibly small, vets don’t like working on them 😢 but great little birds. And their mating dance 😂 too precious

there is a way to tell between double barred finches gender, males have a courtship call that sounds like a laughing tweet
