Nice. I was there in last May. Seems like everything is walking distance from the hotel you were staying. I was staying across Platinum Mall so I walked to Siam Square, Central World, Big C. Recommend to go Super Rich (green sign board money changer near the Big C) if you need to do more currency exchange. The rates are good.
I took grab from platinum mall to MBK. It is around $4 SGD. at least no need to walk.

If you come again, I recommend a Thai dessert called Ruam Mit Tap Tim Kob. I guarantee that everyone who eats it will say wow. Most of them are in Thai dessert shops. Guaranteed to be number 1 in my heart.
