When the Lip Clays were initially launched I was bummed that they only came in preselected sets including colors I knew I'd never use. When I saw that a custom bundle was available this time, I SPRINTED to place an order (and it was super cool that you had your choice of tin too! The Flora Noir tin is actually my favorite).
I absolutely love these. I have the Sand Castle set and have been wearing them every time I wear makeup. What I really like about these is I can wear them with a mask and it doesn’t get all over the place.
Glad they made a build your own tin. I really like Dune, Mahogany, Mercury Wave & Scorpio Fruit.
This type of formula is actually pretty common in k-beauty! Matte lip tints tend to be like this in Asia, to create an easy gradient effect (hence the blown out and soft effect it gives) I think ppl assume it’s different/innovative because it’s barely used in western countries but typical in Asia.
These shades however, aren’t common in Asia. It’s usually reds, mauves and pinks. So I’m glad kaleidos adopted this type of lip product and made them into colours you wouldn’t see often in that formula ^^
Agree! These are tempting and def remind me of the soft matte look from kbeauty. I haven’t looked too much into it since I don’t honestly need more lipstick but I’m curious so do you have a favourite or heard of a comfortable kbeauty lipstick that’s similar to this(comfortable long lasting and non drying) some of the ones I’ve seen on yesstyle people say are a bit drying which is why I stay away from matte liquid lips usually.
@@helenavasic9989 I only use rom&and, it’s not drying at all! And the colour selection is good as well 😌 this type of lip product shouldn’t be categorised with liquid lipsticks imo. Especially because the formula and finish is completely different from it
I've wanted literally everything Kaleidos has released but never been able to afford any of it. Their products are perfectly up my alley makeup-wise. Fun, rich, creative color and tons of personality 💜
I can totally relate!!! I’m unemployed now and trying to make ends meet to pay for school, but the SECOND I can afford it I’m dumping a TON of money into kaleidos!

sand castle and mercy are my two personal favorites, and i think it was smart and very cool of them to let us choose our own colors and tins!!!

I seriously love Kaleidos. Their Space Age Prophecy highlighter is stunning 😍
I have it and love it! It sets off peachy, orange, red, green and warm tone brown looks beautifully. I also love Moon Cruiser. As a pale, cool tone gal it really sets off pink, purple, brown and blue eye looks. Sometimes I layer it lightly over Beccas Moonstone, when I want a more traditional highlight, but with a twist.
@@hazardsigns too funny. That's exactly the 2 I have as well. I just did a review with Moon Cruiser and their Cool & Light palette and love it being cool toned myself! 🥰
I have had spot-on the same experience with these lipsticks as you, including the critiques! As a woodwind player they do wear off after a while when gigging, but opposed to standard liquid lip formulas like ABH or Beauty Bakerie, reapplying is smooth & doesn't pill up. Thanks for reviewing!
I kept waffling in the first two and finally ordered Flora Noir and ended up ordering the other vault almost immediately after receiving the first one (whoops!). There was no playing this time, I ordered the whole new collection in launch day and cannot wait to play with the new shades. Thank you for making these videos, I always love seeing your swatches and hearing your impressions.
I really appreciate the lip swatches! It’s so hard to tell the shades apart from arm swatches, so this was super helpful. Love the share range
I have the Sand Castle set and love it. I wear them when I need my lip color to last a long while without rubbing off from my face mask when I have to wear one. I like some of the new colors from the Apple set, I think it was good that they created a build your own. I'm probably going to select some for my own set.

I agree. These are truly unique. I’m a teacher. I put it on before school and don’t need to reapply even after eating. Comfortable. Put it on and forget it.

I ordered 4 in a set because I could select what I wanted! It was great to do the build your own set. I had bought one online from someone else just to see if I liked the formula, and when I realized I loved it and that I could buy exactly what I wanted, I jumped on it!

I'm super picky about lip formulas, so I only ordered one, Mahogany, to test out, but your review has me feeling optimistic about liking them! I feel like they'll be kinda like the OG NYX Lip Creams

@@iamsotiredofliving I love the formula and went back to buy almost every shade! It's become one of my holy grail products that I use at least half the time I wear makeup, using one of the 10+ shades I have in this formula. It is kinda like the OG lip creams, but more siliconey and more of a buildable formula, if that makes sense? Totally opened me up to the world of Korean and Chinese "lip clay" products!

Yes, i also had problems with the streakiness in both agave and rubino. I still struggle more with agave but today i wore Rubino again and I think I’m getting the hang of it.

Man they have some pretty colors. I tried the the Colourpop Velvet Luxe and the Revlon Colorstay Satin Ink after your reviews & loved those-- excited to try these as well.

The nature of this formula is quite light, so I think I'd like the nudes most. Shades like Agave and Scorpion Fruit would be best in a more opaque formule (e.g. Black Moon).

this lip products are amazing!! i bough the third kit at the realeased because of all the good reviews and the pretty colors but was scared to be desapointed. But after one single use i couldn't wait to buy more shades. I'm saving to buy a build your own kit
I'm glad you had a good experience with these! I haven't tried them before, but I ordered five from this launch (Queen of the Night, Dahlia, Wild Apple, Terra, and Fiamma). They should be getting here this week, and if I like them, I really want to go back for Mahogany.

@@dls_21 yeah darker colours seem pretty likely to be streaky in general :/ I think I might risk it too tbh it just looks like the perfect red ugh. Most deep reds look too cool toned for me but this is so nice.

I didn't know they had build your own bundle. That is putting me over the line. I don't like the regular bundles because there is always at least one color that would not work for me, but I do like individual colors.

I like the idea of colored lipstick more than the actual wearing of them. I'm really a lip balm girl and the fact that I still am wearing masks at work daily just makes it a silly idea to buy lipstick or blush at this point.
