+Dancer the Math Geek What gives you that idea? I can't be sure from the posted results in which category the dance was entered at the Showstopper event, so I use the term "contemporary" because it is descriptive of the choreography. A dance in the "open" category could be any style or a combination of styles. An open entry might be a pompon-clog or an acro-ballet or almost anything. A hip-hop-baton-musical-theater =D
Ohhhhhhh. I see what you mean. I think I got confused because at Showstoppers, this was entered in the open category, so I thought this was an open solo. Sorry.
+Perfect Dance Videos I think he thought that because at the other competitions she performed at, it was entered as open. At showstopper finals, this was in the open category. But it doesn't really matter now.
+JaidaSimone98 OK, thanks. Very likely this was entered as 'open' at the regional. I agree it's a small matter as to the style category in which a particular dance was entered, especially at this point months later. I would like to stress, though, that 'open' is not an actual dance style, but basically the 'miscellaneous' category. When Sophia performed two contemporary solos ("Turn To Stone" and "Pulse") at the same contest, for example, one was entered in contemporary and the other in open.
And I know that open is not an actual style, but like a miscellaneous category. I'm a competitive dancer, and I was in an open dance, I was just getting all specific and nitpicky with the description. Sorry. Oh, and congratulations on 1000 subscribers.
Perfect Dance Videos Thats very professional of you. I myself am a dancer on full scholarship at abt summer and there are MANY miscommunication about ballet with people from other places.
+Alex andra Easy to criticize, but, turns or no turns, I liked Taylor and this performance a lot. To get 2nd place at this contest was quite an accomplishment; only Lauren Shaw from WCSA scored better. Taylor outscored some of the best teen dancers in the region - Rachael Hudak, Trileen Nguyen, Allie Antoyan, Ariana McClure, Makayla Gordon, Emily Detterich, Caitlyn Feddock, Miabella Gonzalez, Aaliyah Zolina, McKenzie Morales, Malia Asahino, and Hayley Houghton. Not too shabby, I'd say.
A Perfect dance performance ... Beautiful ... 🙂

what song is this????
as always, see the video description for details ♥
Omagod legsssssa
how old Is Taylor
birthdate: September 13, 2002
she's 14 now but this video was nearly 2 years ago
Her choreo and song is not the best
she's not, wearing any dance shoes and all her turns are on pointe,
+Kelvin Akhigbe I don't believe any dancer can go en pointe without proper shoes, but Taylor does have a nice high relevé.
+Perfect Dance Videos I think he meant on point..like YASSSSSS
+Andrew Robare I see, perhaps so. This is why proper spelling is important. But I have viewers from many countries, so I try to be accommodating.

+Andrew Robare Oh? I would have thought the common French language terms for the various positions and moves would minimize confusion.
Where are her turns?!?!? I saw just her legs and flexibility... She can't do the turns or what? Maybe ist because of bad choreo, dont know...
*it's
Turns are not necessary in a dance! It is completely up to the Choreographer.
+Alex andra If you would like to see Taylor doing turns, watch her 2014 lyrical here ...

She do "leg things" all the time again.. :/ There are turns but avarage and she fails the easiest one. Lot of work
