    I can't believe that Ford went with such a weak material for this boot. Either they never tested it in cold weather, or they decided that since a lot of people don't use their parking brake, a few warranty claims for replacements would still be cheaper than a slight upgrade to something better.

      Cost reductions pressed upon the supplier drives this crappy part

    Thanks for the simple and detailed video. I just ordered my replacement. Like you explained, my Ranger has just over 20k and I just noticed it yesterday. Shame on Ford!

    You should have a spoof affiliate link so people can buy Amplify DIY’s Custom Pen Cap Tool (patent pending). A Rick Roll link! 😂 but seriously, it’s really nice that your channel is your own.

      Yup! The only downside with ordering there is that shipping takes a while. But if you are not in a hurry, it's great!

      @@AmplifyDIY All your tips, especially the pen cap, were well explained and demonstrated. Several folks have already mentioned how clever the binder clips are. You're a natural educator and I appreciate your attention to detail, and caring that others can also succeed with this.

    I have a 2019 ranger. Problem I have is reaching down to the coin holder where USB’s are and sometime I hit the 4WD shifting knob. Is there a way to lock it unless you need it???

    • @AmplifyDIY
      @AmplifyDIY  2 года назад +2

      Hi Carl - I hope you love your truck! Unfortunately, I have not found a way to lock out that spinning knob to select one of the 4WD modes. What I've done is limit the need to reach down there by adding a pretty convenient little top tray organizer thing to the armrest. This is where I keep things like coins, gum, a pen, a small flashlight, etc. This is the specific tray I installed (and I like it quite a lot), but there are lots of other options out there: amzn.to/3asjWd6

      HI there ONWOTE - Everything I review on my channel I've purchased with my own money, so that I can be completely honest about the product. If you would like to ship something to me for me to consider using, there is a shipping address available on my channel page. I do not make any guarantees that a) I'll even use the product in a video or b) that I'll say nice things about it.

    Great video. Steps are very well explained. What colors did you specify with ordering the boot? Both for the leather and thread. I want to stay as close to stock appearance as possible, just like you did. Thanks!

      Hi Manuel - apologies for the late reply, but Merry Christmas! I just checked my invoice, and I chose:
      Material: Black
      Threads : Light gray
      Hope this helps. Good luck!
