Ana isn't telling everyone to panic. She's just pointing out that there are people out there in less fortunate situations who dont have the luxury of being able to block things out over the holidays, and uncertainty/anxiety will hang over them no matter what and that's ok. Telling everyone to just put a brave face on till jan 21st isnt something everyone can do.

I don’t think she thinks that at all. Ana and Whoopi are making great points. Whoopi is saying don’t live in fear and stress and be crippled by that, because that’s what other people want. Ana is saying that to do nothing is foolish when you’re in danger of being deported or losing your livelihood. Whoopi then said she wasn’t saying do nothing, there is a difference between being prepared and being panicked. Being panicked doesn’t solve anything, but being prepared can.

Whoopi started out extremely poor and without options. She's never forgotten what that's like. If Ana had allowed her to speak, Whoopi would have been able to clarify that others in government were likely still responding to the election interference charges. NATO has become involved. It's likely that the downfall of Syria will result in the sharing of documents regarding russkies and Americans. We can expect a lot of drama to play out without too much of our citizens' involvement over the next 6 weeks, so it's a good idea not to get too anxious before we need to.
