I don't know the specs on downstar hardware. I do on o.e. Honda. But plenty of people are using DownStar bolts w/o issue. Like alot of modification issues. This is user error.

@@jameslapine678 for a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder motor that's a good amount of power. Way more than stock. But we all know the rule: once you start making power more problems arise.

You should always have at least 3 threads of engagement on every bolt. Suggest you go back and check every place you added anything that spaces mating surfaces apart to make sure you have at least three threads of engagement. You may have glazed the clutch with the excessive spacing that happened once the bolts let go.
That's why you don't use aftermarket garbage, OEM ftw. Car should be a beast once all the little glitches get fixed

Crazy how you could spend this amount of money and still have the same stupid issues....
Also, this comment section shows how little some of these people know about cars...nothing wrong with the Downstar bolts. Theyre are just not long enough for the scatter shield. I could see if the bolts shattered, but they just fell out from not enought thread, which any bolt would do.
Bolts are bolts. But always make sure they are proper length, and torqued. If you have solid mounts or hardened poly you need thread locker.

@@peopleschampgarage7869 I've run downstar with everything I've owned.. never once an issue. As long as you torque things properly and use thread locker there will be no issues.

Most of these problems (bolts coming loose, electronics malfunctioning) comes from solid or hard engine mounts and the vibrations sent through the car. If only tuning product companies over see what you will be pairing their products with to avoid these problems.
That's not too bad, my dad used to have a 300z back in the day which he swapped out the twin turbos for a single, it was tuned but had street tires on and the car was kinda his daily at the same time, he ran 12 sec down the strip too

That CEL is probably a sensor that needs to be replaced for the vtech solenoid or oil pressure switch. Had the same problem with my k series...

HardSpaghetti you can disable the Vtec pressure sensor in KPRO. JDM motors don’t use it anyway. Otherwise, check your sensor/wiring and make sure it’s working properly. Check pin 9 on connector B at the ECU for battery voltage at or above 4000 RPM. That’s when the switch is supposed to close. Also, this sounds like a no brainer, but check your oil level. I’ve seen that too.
