Claire's isn't even that much cheaper than a real piercing place anymore!!! It's actually more expensive sometimes. So fucking ridiculous!! I got my 3 lobes done there all by 8th grade. Wish I knew better then!
kinda late to this, but i agree! i got my first and second lobe piercings done at claire's and the first time i got it done was in 2006, and it was $60, and the second time i got my lobes pierced was in 2013 and it was reaching up to $100... yikes.
You probably didn't feel anything because those are old piercings. It looks like the area around the top of the hole where the jewerly sat was red because you wore your earrings tightly. Sometimes lobe piercings will loosen over time and stretching is a piece of cake. My ears were 10g for like 12 years and then this summer I stretched them to 2g. If you ever want to chat stretching, hit me up!
I'm so thankful I only got my first lobes done at Piercing Pagoda (w/a gun)... my seconds were done at an established piercing shop and are bigger gauge... I've actually been thinking about stretching my firsts to 18g.... now I really want to 😂
Whenever you start stretching your first lobe piercings, please do not use tapers or tape or silicone to stretch! Use single flared glass using the gauge system until 8g, where you should switch to the millimeter system. Wait 3 months minimum between stretches, it shouldn't hurt or sting at all.
I too got my 2nd,3rd,4th and top cartilage pierced at Claire's back when I was 18-19 and I too would like to explore stretching the 2nd first due to my earrings too slipping through. Thanks for this video. I'm still currently watching but you are very helpful. Liked, subscribed and notifications active.
I did the same a month ago, but from 0,8mm to 1,2mm (20 to 16g I think?). No problems here, popped right in and my labret studs way more comfortable to wear than normal earrings.
I was told that there is not a major difference from twenty-two gauge to sixteen, even. The last one might be a bit of a stretch (pun intended), but everything else should be fine. The piercing earrings they use at Claire's are actually closer to eighteens, I think. They are a lot bigger around than regular earrings, for sure. Anyhew, your new pieces look nice, and I hope you enjoy them--and that they are friendlier to your lobes.
Hi, A Really Helpful Video, I Got My Ears Pierced & 6 Weeks Is Up So I Changed Them To My Useual Titanium Sleeper Hoops, Stung When Put Earrings In, & Throbbed A Bit Too, Noticed That My Normal Earrings Are A Bit Bigger Than What H. Heyyy, I got my third lobe pierced almost fourth actually since the three of them are at a good distance, but I feel the third one is kinda low not too low, though my mum says that it's okay, yet I'm afraid that it might just rip my ear off completely, have you experienced that with your third lobe piercing?
All of my lobes (4 right, 3 left) and my cartilage/helix on my right ear (5 of then) were all done with a gun at Claire's. No issues with any of them. Tragus, industrial, conch and rook, all done with needles.
@@GeauxGretchen even better...I worked at Claire's for a bit, and used to let people practice in me. 1 lobe and 4 of my cartilage were "practice" piercings!
I have two cartilage piercings on each size, but I don't use them because when I do they always hurt. I've only ever tried hoops in them, I'd like to try different earrings in it, like stud ones or something. Gotta look around I guess.
All three pairs of my lobe piercing were gunned, and the third one got kinda infected recently. It had a huge bump on it and it hurt like a bitch. I accidentally popped it when I was doing a sea salt soak and a bunch of pus and blood came out lmao. So... that's how I lost that hole.
Maybe you have a nickel allergy/sensitivity? I know my ears will get super sore if I wear jewelry with nickel in it. So I look for nickel free or only wear gold, titanium, and surgical steel or silver. 🤔 But I was dying at the TWSS... So. Many. Comments. 🤐 Go get yer holes stretched gurl....lmao
I got my first through fourth lobe holes pierced with a gun, no problems. Got my fifth piercing with a needle, got the dreaded bump on the back of my lobe. Go figure. I treated it with tea tree oil, and I think it’s gone, but it’s itchy as all hell. Any suggestions?

SAME thank the lord I realized how awful piercing guns were before I got my helix's

There not much a difference, I'm sure you could have fit a 16g in your lobes. I never stretched my lobes, I just placed 16g and it fits
Then u were pierced with 18g needle which meant the size is 16g earring

oo.. I feel lucky, I pierced my ears with a 15g needle and switched to a 16g to get the 'cool' earrings lol

Wait so I can wear an 18 on a 22 without worrying about this whole stretch out process? 😭
I love ur piercing videos
Where did you get your daith jewelry? It’s gorgeous! 😍 I’d love to get something similar once mine are healed.
Little Pixels Thank you! I got it from the shop I go to for my piercings. I want to say it’s a piece from Anatometal.

I have the same problem, please keep us updated, I would love to see if this helps!
Had my first ones done at Claires but when I got older, I let them close and got them redone with a needle.
0:53 Oh there is a LOT of "That's what she said" comments to be made in this video. ;)
Lmao she cracks me up.

But I enjoy watching you change your jewellery, can'[t wait to see the rook one when you do get to change it.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! 🤗
I wonder why you didn’t get a taper with your stretching kit. 🤔
Dianna Michalidas The kit’s smallest size was 14g, I had to buy the 16g one separately.. I didn’t see 18g offered on the website.
i’m late but i started stretching with a 14g 😃
My firsts are 00g. I want my seconds at 2g, and my thirds 4g. If I have the room.

My second hole(s) was done at Claire's..it's crooked lol

your awesome😂😂
It's not supposed to hurt. If it hurts you're doing it wrong.

Irritated from that tea tree oil

Wow she looks like Stevie Nicks.
hurt?
accdude92 Nope!
The earrings that guns *force into your flesh* are usually around 16g or 18g I think? They're way bigger than the ones you had in your lobes
Gee Wae At Claire’s, I read up and the size is typically 18g, so yeah I should have gone to 16g for those two.
