- The last of the big 6 superstores John Lewis after completing my experiment of all the superstores MORRISON’S is the winner although I wouldn’t go back there as everything was lukewarm and that goes for them all.

Shocking is an understatement Greg! From a place like John Lewis you’d expect a lot better. The customer service too, the young chap who served you could not be bothered. I hope John Lewis see this video and up their game!

He's a young lad just doing his job, he took his order and was polite. What else do you expect from him? It's not The Ivy

A good honest review Greg! I'm actually not surprised that John Lewis didn't have a Full Breakfast on the menu - it doesn't really fit with somewhere that boasts about their virtuous 'carbon neutral coffee' at the entrance. Moreover the venue looked pretty lifeless and corporate, not somewhere I could relax and eat a meal. Watching your reviews have made me appreciate the small independent businesses, like Sivori's on Edgeley. Keep up the great work Stocky from another new subscriber. 👍👍

As well as the food being better,staff are generally friendlier in independents. They actually seem happy you are spending your hard earned cash with them

I've been to Cheadle Royal many times. Weird now watching from afar in rural Minnesota. Not great was it, but still better than what we get over here 😂😂😂
As an add on, I'm old enough to remember the days of fantastic breakfasts at places like BHS in the 70s. Proper service and proper grub, at a good price.

You must get some rubbish over there if John Lewis are better 🤣🤣 I remember the good old days, where I lived we had a cafe called Jonnys Cafe and it was amazing food he new all his customers names. Memories ha good old days. 👍👍

Go to your local cafés they are the best.They put a lot of effort in to give you quality as there business releys on it.
I agree that’s why I’ve done these videos to show that we should all be using the small independent Cafes 👍

That's why most places are empty. How can they honestly believe the majority of people can afford those prices? Something has to give soon. Good video.

None of them were great, but I’ve since tried the little cafe just before the lights in Adswood now that was a real great breakfast.

The bacon sandwich like that with four rashes of streaky bacon and a bit of bread, £1.80 £2 tops

In the Isle of Man the Newsagents all have a hot counter and sell breakfast barns for less than that.

The price is bad 👎 but was it hot Greg? 😅 I've watched the 6 reviews now & yes i think Morrisons is the best one. Like i said in one of the other ones, my local Morrisons 👎 Weston Morrisons 👍 My M&S closed years ago & never had a John Lewis, though did have a Debenhams but never tried their food. Our BHS has gone, but we have Poppins back. Years ago our Peacocks had a cafe in (no Peacocks now) & the food there was good. Great reviews, yes, you're better off avoiding supermarket cafe breakfasts, the drinks are alright though 😊😊

An honest review price was outrageous. Not a lot of bacon. Sausage looked good.
Totally right bacon was shocking, the sausage was tasty but cut in half. They charged £4:50 for that.😱

Hello Greg, I couldn't agree with you more on what you have said within this video. I was quite surprised at John Lewis to be honest, The young lad it seems it was an effort to provide you with Quality service as though he didn't want to be there; Turns out there worse than Tesco then. Steve from Manchester. Anyway have you forgotten one, What about IKEA.

I went online and for back bacon, Cumberland sausages (high meat content), a pack of 6 tiger rolls, real butter and latte instant sachets would cost £10.39 or if you take up the offer on sausages (2packs for £5 ) it's comes to £12.14 and would definitely feed two+ men.That wasn't even a man's breakfast . Thank you for sharing. I'd definitely stay away from that one sweet xx 😘

By you’ve done your homework so thank you very much for that. That would feed me all week to be honest for £12.14 and they charge £9.00 for 2 barmcakes it shows how they are ripping us off. Xx

@@rabmalt158 just read your post mate, if your ever in bispham ( near Blackpool as you probably know) try Maddison's, red bank road, you won't be disappointed. Brilliant food and staff. Maddison's English brekkie is the best. Plus all other food, drinks etc.
