    2d control is the way of the future because the future is there will be very limited operators that can even run a machine, just like truck drivers that can drive are falling by the wayside and very fast.

      I think we have a ways to go before machine control makes operators obsolete. It's more of an enhancement to help operators become more efficient and more productive using their current skill set.
