If they included it, it wouldn't be just this scene, it would have to be a continuing plot point of Evan figuring out being gay and juggling their mom and Liv's secret. It would've taken up a lot of time and they just didn't have room.
@@mysterybloommoon9469 They pretty much reused this scene for when she tells Clive which might be why you remember it, but otherwise this is from an aborted arc I think in season 2 that never happened. Liv’s brother ends up finding out differently in the final season.
I think because it uses the exact same sequence that Liv uses to convince Clive she's a zombie, and it would've lost all impact if they'd already done it once.
I wish, I just went thru another run of the show on netflix, this wasnt there, she did stab herself, but not for her brother, she did it for Clive @mysterybloommoon9469
I wish they had let this happen. Not necessarily this specific reveal but let her family know. I hated how they just vanished without a mention for multiple seasons. Also, Evan was adorable and I disliked how his character ended, sick and maybe dying.
Seen a few interviews now and it seems like they skipped this scene because they couldn't fit in Season 2, so they planned to bring Evan back in Season 3. When that didn't work out in S3, they wanted him and/or the mother in Season 4 (which is the point they both should've figured out by themselves why Liv did what she did). Kind of happy they at least adressed it in Season 5, but found the whole "we're only talking to you because we exhausted all other possible avenues of helping him"... not good. Neither Liv nor Evan deserved that :/ (not even Peyton deserved being cut off from Evan, who she knew for so long).
@@hennauwu8669 Sorry no. This happened over several years and I've seen parts of the story in severl interviews. Search for things like "iZombie cast Season 2 / 3 / 4".
Yes, you're right but also who in the world will think "well, she is different now maybe she is a zombie" Of course they knew something was wrong but come on
4:41 Evan immediately forgave Liv after telling him the whole truth, him seeing her point of view, & understanding why Liv made all those choices after she became a zombie. They never should've deleted this scene.
I understand why they didn't go this route but I wish that at some point, after the truth came out, we got at least one scene of her talking to her mom and brother about the truth.
I prefer this so much, I get Clive needed to know because of Major. But it felt more like Evan was a trustworthy brother, ontop of Peyton supporting her, and Major.
So they literally stole her "believe me now?" stabbing with her brother and took it for Clive. Great. You know, Clive was a closer character in terms of his role in the show and how much time they spent together, but it would have been great for her to have her brother in her life too. Not including him creates the problem that they change his character by explaining his absence with "he wants nothing to do with you".
I was wondering why they cut this scene but I just watched that episode and Liv is wearing the same pajamas when she gets visited by Major while Drake is in her room. They probably didn’t know where to place this scene because it probably would’ve been too much. Still, they should’ve really brought Evan back as a recurring character, it sucks how Liv’s family just vanished without even hinting that they’d reconciled. And then when they do come back, he’s got cancer. 😑 I had read that Evan and the mom were supposed to come back in Season 4 though but it was too much to squeeze in: "Evan and Eva had gotten infected with the zombie virus, and they were having a gourmet, Liv-prepared brain meal - the first time that the mom and brother got to eat any brains other than tubes." showrunner Rob Thomas explained last year, before revealing that the plot line was cut soon after for time. "It hasn't been a lack of desire on our part to get to it. The scripts are too cramped to open up that new avenue," Thomas explained. "But never say never. In Season 5, having some bit of resolution for that family is tempting, because they really have kind of fallen off the planet... If we do write a finale for them, they may not have gotten turned. Because we may just try to feel what's right in the moment."
They should have stuck to the script. The way the writers wrote it. They could have left this one scene and scrapped the rest of the arc. The writers scope out an entire episode, not shoot a bunch of scenes and let TPTB assemble it into a story.
That scene of the siblings making up that should have been aired. Liv revealing herself to Clive could have been cut, or done differently, him catching her feeding herself, for example.
OMGGGGGGGGGG I can't believe this was deleted!! Although I have to say that Liv's reveal is EXACTLY the same as she did for Clive and I REALLY like that scene with Clive sooooo I wouldn't want to lose that. But seriously, they just sort of pretended that her family didn't exist again till season 5! It was so weird!
There’s a lot of unnecessary scene in many episodes they’ve should have replace it with this scene. Instead of the mom and brother vanishing without explanation. There’s a lot of scene with major that not that important.
This was so sweet. The should of left it in!! I always got gay vibes from him but knowing this his obsession with Peyton makes sense it he's trying to deny to himself who he is. lives voice sounds sweeter more motherly here than in the actual episodes.
Well yes its nearly identical to when liv told clive but, still unfair to leave this out. Because one of the loose threads in the who series is Liv and Even's relationship. Yes, the show mainly focuses on Liv and her struggles but, it just doesn't sit right that Even was pushed out of the whole story after the Meat Ceut incident. In the final season Liv does sneak her mom and Even out of Seattle and they do seem better than when they last interacted. It's just one of the few plot points that was pushed aside to let the rest show
Tbh I think they deleted it cuz Evan came out as gay and it probably would’ve been a whole thing. Or maybe they weren’t satisfied with why he was failing, felt it was unnecessary. IDK that’s my theory. I do wish they kept it, it sucks he didn’t find out then
Why in the world did they delete this! The sibling support in iZombie would have added so much more
If they included it, it wouldn't be just this scene, it would have to be a continuing plot point of Evan figuring out being gay and juggling their mom and Liv's secret. It would've taken up a lot of time and they just didn't have room.
I did remember this scene it was on Netflix

Really love Liv and Evan's overachiving big sister and annoying little brother dynamics

I wrote a fic about this actually (=

This should've been in the show
Would've been a great way to bring Evan back after the explosion than having him and their mom just kinda.. vanish
I always found it stupid that her family never realized she was a zombie quite frankly she doesn't even look the same as she once did
Yes, you're right but also who in the world will think "well, she is different now maybe she is a zombie"

We did, in season 5.

Yes, they should find two ways or even the same way to keep both scenes. Cause Clive was a big part of the history but so is her brother.
They were insane for deleting this
This would have been the perfect resolution dammit! Thank you for uploading this.
They should have kept it.
But at least these scenes exist. 💖

I wish they had kept this scene in. Least we get to see it.
4:08 Liv did what she thought was best at the time. She didn't want Evan to go through the same Hell she was forced to go through.

why in the hell would they delete this 😭😭😭
it's so awesome😍🥰😭
Oh so they just used this for her reveal to Clive instead.....cause I just watched a similar scene but she stabbed herself to convince Clive 😅🤣🤣
That scene of the siblings making up that should have been aired. Liv revealing herself to Clive could have been cut, or done differently, him catching her feeding herself, for example.
Aw, they should have kept this!
I was wondering why there was red spots on her forehead 😂it’s one of those pre-VFX scenes
They really should have kept this in omg
They shouldn't have taken this out
Man, I get that they moved this scene to her friend but god I wish they kept this
i'm gonna pretend this wasnt cut and leave it in the show. this is prefect
Exactly, with this scene it makes their reunion less terrible
This was awsome, thanks for sharing! Never seen this. You have more?
WHY did they cut this???

So instead they cut Evan out of the show?!
Why?! I wanna know!!
Why the hell did they delete this
Where was the Pasty white face & the red eyes that happened
when she revealed herself to Clive
dude they just didnt edit it in bc its not in the episode
Didn't you see the text and the effects dots on her face?
im so mad they didnt keep this scene
off topic but did no one notice the fact the knife broke and its still in there??
It was the prop blade. They didn’t edit in the effects.
They basically rehashed this scene and made it Clive instead cause this is how she told voice she was a zombie

I'm guessing this is supposed to happen in season 2 or 3?
This is from season two, The Whopper! :)
They should never have deleted this scene.
If she had given him blood in season 1 he would have become a zombie then.
Itd be nice if someone did the effects for this video
Yeah

They skipped over alot in the series, i don’t think anyone would have missed liv and evan’s bf ventures
I love this show, but the constant militant insistence on queer erasure in the writing is fucking painful
