The difference between diphthong and glide is time value. In diphthong the first vowel is much longer then the second vowel. In glide the first vowel is very short as yesterday. However in German j in jahr is not a vowel, it is a consonant. Your tongue almost touch the palate. It is not like Italian "i".

Study the languages until you reach the fluency of reading and speaking in German, Italian and French to sustain your career. Merely memorizing the text isn't good enough. 3. Aim highest and set your mind for world stages. 4. Listen to many great singers of old, such as Lotte Lehmann, Ernestine Schumann Heink and many others. 5. The unstressed vowels should be much softer. Please learn the difference between opened and closed vowels in i, e, o, u, ö, ü.

노래는 잘하는데 정가운 가곡은 거의 없음. 서울대학교라서 그러나. 아쉽네. 대충의미만 짐작하는 서양가곡 말고 우리 가곡좀 부르지. 저 음성으로 가곡듣고 싶은데 부른게 없어. 전부 독일 이탈리아어. 그냥 노래 잘하는 아이로 인식되네. 아쉽네.

아저씨 성악이라는 게 유럽음악이구요. 당연히 한국가곡은 저희도 유럽언어에 비해 많이 공부하지 않구요. 한국적인 맛을 보고싶으시면 차라리 트로트나 국악을 들으시는 게 어떠신가요?
